Got your flu shot yet??

After 28 years as a medic and all I was exposed to, I'm afraid the flu shot would hang on to the syringe trying to stay OUT of me.

Tbh except for the elderly I don't know why anybody else would bother with a flu shot, don't the strains change every year?

Yeah, there's a lot of hype involved I'm sure. Meanwhile the human immune system never gets a chance to build up any antibodies of it's own which makes the whole thing it a bit suspect although we don't want to see some kind of pandemic like Spanish flu again ever.

That's because they use eggs to actually grow the virus in. With the proteins and all it is the perfect incubator.

Living in a nursing home, I see that colds and other sicknesses spread like wildfire here.  I got the flu shot more because I would hate to be the one who starts to spread it around to the population here.
