I'm very seriously considering either Dr. Di Maggio or Dr. Cardenas for a bit of FFS. I really love Dr. Di Maggio's work and I like what I've seen of Dr. Cardenas work, but it's strange to me that he doesn't have many (if any) before/after photos on his website. I must admit his prices are certainly affordable but I'd like to make a judgement beyond just price and see if his work matches up. I'm not sure what Dr. Di Maggio's prices are, and was interested to know if any girls had had surgery with him recently and could tell me his prices for chin/jaw reduction and tracheal shave? Anyhow, thanks in advance for your help! :D

Yeah I like Dr. Dimaggio's work too especially the forehead work, he hasn't gotten back to me yet but the most currect quote I saw on here for him was like 17-18k for full FFS, sorry idk how much each procedure costs individually.

I saw a few before & after from Cardenas and some were good and some not so good so idk, I wish there were more pics to show his work.

I went to Dr. DiMaggio in June 2012.  His price was $18k for forehead reconstruction, rhinoplasty, upper lip lift, and jaw/chin reduction.  I paid an additional $2k for a tracheal shave and $4.4k for cheek implants.  Not sure if these prices are still accurate though, Argentina is having a lot of inflation, so Amanda (Dr. DiMaggio's coordinator) had mentioned they may need to raise their prices.

Overall, I'm very happy I had FFS.  My results with Dr. DiMaggio (visually) turned out better than I had expected.  But the surgery was not perfect.  The biggest problem was my forehead incision didn't heal well.  It's impossible to say if this was the fault of Dr. DiMaggio or just bad luck on my end.  I was extremely sick when I had the surgery (I caught a nasty cold on my flight to Argentina), so I'm sure that didn't help matters.  Also, my surgery was 10hrs long, so my recovery was very difficult.  Unless I pulled my hair up into a high ponytail though, people can't see the stretched out scars... so I'm told I'm crazy for being so bothered by it.  Another random problem is my chin still feels weird... like a small piece of cartilage is moving around.  Nobody can see it being a problem, but sometimes I can feel it move inside my skin and it feels gross.  And lastly, I wish I could just tweak my forehead a little bit.  There are a few divots that annoy me, but they're really not that visible.   So overall, the results were very good, but no surgery is perfect.

If I had to do it again, I'd strongly consider Dr. Speigel.  Being in Argentina alone seriously sucked (in the USA it wouldn't have been so bad).  Also, I'd like to go back to see Dr. DiMaggio to discuss my chin (and he offered to revise my forehead incision for free), but the cost and time needed to get back to Argentina is too much.

Hi,
I did not do surgery with Dr Di Maggio but know and met quite a few girls who did. Also he has quite a fan club on the Yahoo ffs support forum which I have been a member of for the last 2.5 years and where there are lot's of photos.
The overall quality of his work is excellent and he also seems to be very consistent. Contrary to many of the other well know FFS surgeons, I have never heard of anyone having a really bad experience with him.
The only downside is that, to avoid risk, people think that he can sometimes be a bit too conservative, especially with chin work. By the way, I have heard very much the same "complaint" voiced concerning Dr Speigel who also charges at least double what Dr Di Maggio charges.
I consulted with Di Di Maggio and found his assistant, Amanda" absolutely great in terms of information, advice etc..but she left him a few months ago and I'm not sure that side of things works so well any more.
If you really want detailed info, I suggest you join the Yahoo FFS Support group where there really are a lot of DR D veterans, probably the single biggest group that is represented there.
Hugs
Donna
