I forgot what my login info was but I finally have the courage to participate here. Whether that's sad or not is entirely up to you, but I've been through a lot. I'm ftm transsexual, been on hormones for close to three years, learned a lot about myself and what survival is in the process, what good things can come. My jealousy of other guys and their progress has tapered off a bit- I was always a bit of a late bloomer/chub-up during puberty type of guy. Three years and I'm still growing in facial hair haha. Had chest surgery in december 2011. Have depression/PTSD, professional artist, have worked in Food and Beverage to get by in life.... I live in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Can talk/listen about drug addictions.

now it's like, wow I'm a normal person now and can converse with y'all here.

Instead of feeling like a pretender.

I don't know why that was such an issue. Maybe because everyone seems so happy to be posting their progress (?) pictures.

Anyway, nice to meet all y'all beautiful people.

Welcome! Don't worry about what people think of your courage. Some talk openly on day one and some just need time to gather their thought's. I myself can't wait to see what is going on here. I never knew I would have a family like this. Respect, good advice, openness and people who really care! Kind of more of a family than mine who avoid me like a contagious disease now that I am transitioning. I have PTSD from 28 years as a paramedic in a large metro area. If you ever need a sympathetic ear, PM me! This is a great place, relax and be honest with us and yourself. That's seems to be the only rule here. Have a bad day, talk about it. Have a good day share the news. Hugs!  :)

Hi depeche_mode, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 7752 members. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me
