There's a ton of threads on this on here already so if you have the time you might find a lot more info if you can browse through old threads or if someone feels the urge to post links to some for you in here.

I would say #1 consideration is the law.  Some countries/states/provinces/cities have laws specifically pertaining to this that would make it illegal to go into the women's washroom while you are still legally male.  Look into the laws of wherever you live.  #2 I would say is your own safety, this also depends on where you live, going into the men's washroom may be dangerous, going into the women's is usually less dangerous, especially if you pass at least a good majority of the time.  #3, while I think people have just got to start to learn to be less judgmental, is concern for the comfort of others.  If you don't pass well and go into the ladies, you might run into women who think you are there to molest them or their children, if you are not worried about point #1 and point #2, but want to avoid being accused of such things, use the men's.

Just my 2 cents

Well if it is a single occupant location, I say just use the first one, as a lot of people will just think you are a woman who couldn't wait if you use the men's designated one.

For multi occupant locations, as was mentioned, know if there are laws, and if not, then it comes down to what makes you comfortable? Dressed as a woman you need to ask yourself ok why am I dressed as a woman? Because a cross dresser belongs in a male room and a woman (regardless of parts) belongs in a female room. Because the clothes don't make the person, but, if you are going to be what you are, you might as well get used to acting like you are eh.
Well being TG is no treat, but becoming separated has sure caused me more trouble that being TG ever will be. So if I post, consider it me trying to distract myself from being lonely, not my needing to discuss being TG. I don't want to be separated a lot more than not wanting to be male looking.

I use the women's room because I look too female to to use the men's room.

I use the disabled bathrooms or hold it in till I get home, I feel terribly uncomfortable in the mens and I am afraid of getting chased out of the ladies!

I'm a combination of lazy and selfish when it comes to taking a pee. Why sit down if I can do it standing, and why wait for a stall if I can use a urinal.

As I see it, hey I need to pee, and if I currently have a penis, why would I want to discomfort myself when it's easy to pee standing into a urinal in a men's room regardless of how I am dressed.

I'm not planning to ask the man next to me out to dinner eh. I don't need to care what he thinks of me especially when in 30 seconds I will be gone and he won't exist in my life any more.

There is also this truth. For those needing to pee, and fretting over where to go, hey, you CAN walk behind a building eh, and pee against the wall where no one can see :) Hey, people do this sort of thing all the time. Hell prostitutes often will do a lot more than pee against a wall :)

If you are stuck with a penis, don't be afraid to make good use of the stupid thing while you are stuck with it. Once it's gone, you can forget feeling like you don't belong in the ladies room too.

I used whichever one matched my presentation.

However, I never went out en femme until I passed at least to the point of ambiguity.

If you don't pass to that level, use whichever one you feel safest in.

Ah! Restrooms. One of my least favourite things. I have a problem with this because I look way too feminine to go into the men's restroom but androgynous enough to look weird in the women's room. Usually, I use the women's because I'm honestly too afraid to be called out or something.
