Heya everyone!

I came out to my best friend yesterday!!!!!! Albeit on facebook, but she was amazing about it, i just kind of blurted it out as i was so scared of telling anyone, she was shocked but so accepting!! I'm so pleased i told her, it feels like a weight off my shoulders!!! Wev'e been speaking all day and ive been answering the usual questions (how long have you felt like a woman? are you gonna go all the way? etc), but its so amazing to talk to someone i care about! and finally tell them something that has caused me so much pain for a long long time!!

im not gonna lie, im absolutely terrified about the future. But im glad i have someone who knows, and accepts me, and feel i can now come out to others!!!

Its soooo good!!!!! :D

Much love
Zoe

Zoe and Erin, if I looked just a hundredth as good as you girls do I would have no fear at all. Zoe I am so glad you took the first big step. I understand the feeling of relief you experienced. When I started to tell mine I could not breathe and I could not hear my heart was beating so loud. You will be just fine in the future and things may get interesting, but I think you will enjoy it very much. It is great to be free and who you are inside and out. Keep us up to date with your progress. You young, gorgeous girls with your whole lives ahead have my full support as well as a little jealousy. Give em heck!  :)

Gratz on your coming out to your friend and that she has been supportive. It is tough, and the future is uncertain, but be strong and stick with it :)

Fantastic Zoe.  Having a best freind to accecpt us can be so important as we are opens our lives to what's ahead, and it makes the road so much easier to follow.

You'll do fine coming out to others hon.

Zoe,I am so happy for you. It is so good to have a good friend that you can confide in. There will be ups and downs but the good days will out number the bad days I trust me. :) :)
I have been on estrogen and progesterone  for 24 years and sprio off and on but not for about 8 years. I have not totally transitioned yet but since  my breasts are very noticeable  36 I it is pretty much impossible not be seen as female. Just went full time. :) Yes I still do yard work!

I am so happy for You :) And it is great that Your best friend is a woman  - the deeper You will go into transition, the more You will need female friends for support and those womanly things :).

I was terrified too, then i found that most people are fairly accepting or more supportive than you would imagine.   The more you come out the easier it seems to do.

Zoe, If I am correct in assuming that she is the first person you have come out to, then it's very likely that you will look back on this day as one of the most important in your life. And with each person you tell, things should only get easier and your network of support will most likely grow. Terror is a natural response at this stage. But most of our terrors are based on imaginary outcomes rather than actual ones.

Way to go!

Congrats Zoe!  I remember telling my bffs and it was hard; however, they turned out insanely supportive as I should have expected.  It's awesome to hear you have a support structure and will be moving forward with others on this journey!

Congratulations!  My woman friends (including my fiancee) have been invaluable to me... I've learned so much, from how to pick outfits to how to present myself and how to avoid crying even when absolutely overwhelmed (important for management types like me).
There are so many wonderful things in store for you!  I can't wait to hear about your first girls' night out!  Please keep us in the loop!

Big gratz and big hugs Zoe!

I found that it gets easier as you tell more people.  I found that pretty much everyone was supportive of me, and we got an awesome party out of it when I went full time (Booze n BBQ Boxer Burning Bash!)

I do think that the easiest person to tell was my friend Rhian, she asked me to drop off some contraceptive pills for another friend that she had left round hers.  As she handed me them she warned me not to take any as I'd start growing boobs...it was quite difficult to keep a straight face :)

Hopefully I'll be popping down to LFF for a bit next month and get you a celebratory cocktail :)
