Three people at my workplace know I'm trans - a close female colleague, the big boss (also female) and a male friend. Of those only the first two know about my current transition. I haven't told the guy yet, he knows about my earlier attempt via mutual friends and is cool about it but I haven't quite worked up to telling him yet. As I'll be needing to take quite a few half days off work over the next several months (for electrolysis mostly) I decided to tell my direct supervisor yesterday. She only started a few months ago but I really like her and have a good working relationship with her so decided I'd spill on being trans, my likely timeline, etc. She was very supportive and happy for me which was great. I figured she would be but it was still hard to get out at first. At least I didn't turn into a blubbering mess like I did when I told the big boss and other work colleague! I said to her that while I'm not keeping it a secret my preference is not to tell most people at work just yet... I'd rather that happened in one hit. There are only 20 or so people at work although we have a huge network and a lot of people know me through my job... so that'll be interesting but I'm blessed with a very supportive workplace.
