I made a thread before when I thought I had an infection from an injection.

I wanted to follow up with it in case anyone could benefit from the information, but I don't want to bump the old thread because it is in the main forum.

Anyways - my doctor thinks I am allergic to the sesame oil the T is suspended in, and that is what caused the giant red welt, the big lump under my skin, and intense itching. She switched me to a version with cottonseed oil instead. The reaction happened right after my dose was increased, so I guess the new amount triggered it.

I just did my first shot with the cottonseed oil T, and I really hope there are no issues. She also had me switch from injecting into my stomach to into my leg. If I still have a reaction, she might make me try topical. I really, really don't want to have to do that. I know some guys like it, but I don't mind the injections and would prefer to stay with them.

Anybody else have to switch oil types after an allergic reaction? Did it help?

I'm the opposite of you and it's cottonseed oil that gives me a negative reactions. It's the cheapest form of injectable testosterone and most popular, so apparently that's what my doctor saw it appropriate to start me on. She said I'm the only case she's had thus far that has had an allergic reaction to a suspension, but knows it was definitely possible. I haven't had a problem with rashes or irritation since.
Meow.

It must not be uncommon. The reason Nebutol isn't allowed in the US is due to potential anaphylaxis from the what the shot is suspended in, which I don't recall.
