Coming up 3 years on T in Feb. and I'm extremely unhappy with my changes. My T levels have not been in the normal male range for over 6 months to a year or longer. My Dr. Is slowly increasing my dosage. It's been increased like 3 or 4 times so far in the past month or 2. After like a 2nd or 3rd increase my T level went down. So my Dr. is slowly increasing my dosage again.

This is why I haven't been getting any changes in years... I haven't been in the normal male range in like possibly over a year. This is why my voice is so high and doesn't pass over the phone. I'm gonna try to find out when the last time my T levels were in the normal male range.

I've got'n mis-gendered twice this month. Once from behind and once face to face and I have very noticeable scrappy/patchy facial hair. It's beyond me how people mis-gender people with very noticeable facial hair. The majority of the time I pass, but once in a blue moon people will mis-gender me. And I believe that to be due to not being on the right dosage in over 6 months to a  year or longer.

Is it normal for T levels to go up and down over the years? I thought once you get to the normal male range that's pretty much where your dosage is gonna stay...?

I had something similar happen to me. I was on T for a year and I hadn't had any blood work since I started. I then moved and switched Dr's and I saw that my levels were like 400-500. They upped my dose a little and I noticed a lot more changes. Sometimes you just have to watch your levels.

Sorry that's going on for you, can't imagine the frustration and the pain.

My understanding is that everyone's body has a specific level they can maintain.  Once you reach that and potentially go over it and you have too much testosterone in the body, your body converts it to estrogen.  I'm not a doctor but this is what my doc (Dr. Jennifer Hastings in California) said to me. She's been careful to monitor my levels and keeps in close contact with me to make sure we get the correct levels so my body doesn't begin converting it to estrogen because I'm starting with a body that already has high T levels.

Just a thought.

My T levels at last check were in the 400-500 range. I had my dose lowered after that due to health problems related to testosterone. I'm at the same point as you, I don't shave my face but I'm misgendered once every month or less. It happens.

I'm sorry you had health problems related to T, that really sucks. I'm sorry your still getting mis-gendered too. It's very weird that people mis-gender guys with very noticeable facial hair. Is your facial hair patchy or scrappy? I have to shave every month or 2 or my facial hair looks really bad b/c it hasn't filled out on one side.  Do you correct people when they mis-gender you?

So you never shave you just trim your facial hair? I've tried trimming but b/c my facial hair is so scrappy and patchy, I can't trim it right and it just makes my facial hair more patchy so I just shave it all off.

I'm glad your levels are in the normal male range now. Are you seeing any changes?

It happens, but I said that more as a "look, not alone and it's an improvement from what you were going through!" My facial hair is probably 90% underneath my chin, creeping more to the neck area. It's just very thin everywhere. I correct people when they misgender me, ya.

I never shave, only trim. I got a hair trimming kit-thing (gillette fusion proglide styler). It has some different combs, and a shaving type attachment.

For me, I'm kind of staying the same, I guess. It's hard to tell what's going on now.

Yeah, my facial hair is the same way, very thin everywhere.

I got a cheap electric $10 trimmer and it only worked once. I didn't even use it b/c my hair wasn't long enough to trim. I just turned it on to see how it work and that was it. Never worked again.

I'll have to try the one you have and see if that will work for me. How much did that cost?

I'm sorry your not seeing much change either.
