Catholics and trans

So, I just have a question as to how Catholics and the religion itself view trans people. I'm not out yet completely, but I'll be transitioning in 2015. My wife and I are going to get our son baptized, and we have to join the church. My wife is Catholic (but open to me and such things), but I'm not religious by nature. My belief is in a higher power, and that's pretty much the extent of it.
Any idea what I'm getting into? I mean, I'll belong to the church, and respect my wife's wishes to teach our children the religion, but if someone asks me personally, I wouldn't say I'm Catholic. How will the church view me? Am I "committing a sin" in their view?

I was raised Catholic and yes they consider it a sin. They view sex in a marriage to procreate. That is how it was in my family. They think Satan gives you the "need" to be who you are inside if it opposes your outside. It was really hard core with some of my aunts and uncles being Nuns and Priest's. You may not get the warmest welcome in town and they will be all over you if you try to talk about HRT or SRS. Tough times ahead baby. Wish I could say things will work out, but that would be a lie. PM me if you need to talk about this more. It will stay between us. Here is a BIG HUG that you probably need now.  :)

Thanks. Kind of backwards, isn't it? Supposedly our sins are supposed to be forgiven. And I have a son and want another child before I transition. So where am I going wrong? LOL. I really don't care what they think of me. I was just curious to see what I was in for.

I guess they skipped over the part of those without sin cast the first stone, Huh! Amazing how G_d can forgive you and people can't. Here is another BIG HUG.  :)
