If I go to a psychiatrist or an endo, will it be dangerous to use my company's health insurance plan? I'm worried that my office manager or human resources department would then discover that I am doing transgender therapies. Will it all stay confidential? Please ease my concerns.

Unless you were hurt on the job or your medical interferes with work, no information should be shared.

I had initially shared your concern over this.  But a year after initially seeking care (which is ongoing) there is no sign of awareness on the part of my company.

If it helps ease things you should be able to call your insurance company without revealing any specifics and request information on specifically what information gets exchanged between your company and them.

Actually I don't think they can find out.  Because of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act ) regulations no one that you do not allow can find out why you are seeing someone.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me
