This year is when I can finally get rid of my facial hair permanently and I've been able to work extra hours to save up nearly enough money to get it done in 2 months!!! :) it's just my face for now! Soon my arms to! Also gone on vitamins and hair regrowth stuff. I hate facial hair soooo much! I'm glad I'm making progress but hrt is out for now. :) I'm a work in progress. :)

Aren't we all? :D

That being said, I'll be starting facial hair removal soon as well. I've got about 2 and 1/2 thousand dollars in a bank account right now for just that purpose. I hope it's enough.

I've wanted to do it for awhile but I didn't know forsure if I'd miss the hair ever but I'm sure now. It's taken me awhile to be able to say goodbye to facial hair with no question of going back. Soon no beard, no shaving and I can more like who I am!!

I'm really happy for both of you, and I wish you luck with your hair removal.

I was just talking with a TG friend the other day, and she told me that she's spent the last 11 years with an electrolysis at $25.00 an appointment and it cost her approximately $23000.00 and that was just for her face. She's a true blonde, so laser wouldn't have worked effectively on her.

...lemme make sure I have my decimal points right. Is that $23,000 (twenty three thousand dollars?) ... I hope it's cheaper for someone with light skin/dark hair ... if not it'll be decades before I finish.

Try searching groupon. I got a deal for six laser sessions on shoulder, back, stomach, abdomen and face for just over $1500 in manhattan.

What is great to is that people know I'm gonna do this. Only parts not going is the sideburn area so if I want sideburns later but the rest is going gone. Nobody knows any reason except I hate facial hair and shaving to. They don't know that it also has to do with me feeling like a girl.

Yeah, that's what I figured, and sometimes she was having it done for an hour. If you've got a good pain tolerance, I'd try it.  If she were doing it once a week at $25.00 per half hour times 52 weeks =$1300.00 and she's been doing it for 11 years which then adds up to $14,300.00. I apologize for the miscalculation.

I have spent about $17,000 over 2 years on electrolysis.  Wasn't planning to but there you go. Things in Australia seem expensive!  After about 12 months, I thought that since I had started, I really should finish.  They started at the bottom and cleared as they went so it wasn't a slow reduction over my whole face.  Now at the stage where I only go every 3 weeks so there is enough to do for the whole hour.  However, the hourly rate is multiples of $25 so don't ry to work out how many hours.  I do have 2 techs going at once with 8 probes each doing just galvanic, not blend or thermo.

If laser works for you, go for it.  If it only works a bit, get that cleared up first.  If you have grey, red, white, light brown like me, you are pretty much buggared!
