Aw, Eva, Thanks I actually just got called for an interview for a new job, minutes after posting that!! I think this place is good luck If I manage to land this job,...problems solved!!!

I have had the dog put down

I was fine, talking, as usual, to my dear friend VM then decided I needed physical company so I went to the hotel and had dinner. Then I sat listening to the band and I was watching people enjoy themselves.

It all just hit. Why was I born like this? Why couldn't I be like the other girls with their friends?

I crawled home and thought I'd watch a movie. It ended up being a sad one - good choice stupid!

So it started to cascade and then the dog started barking.

It was soon drowned out by waves of love.

Glad we got a chance to chat last night, and catch up, and that you are better now.

Sadly news from this end not so good. Alison is in Hospital - her BP has dropped uncontrollably, and the longterm prognosis is now pretty uncertain. All made worse because despite having discussed the need for it a few months back with me, no one has bothered to actually do the DNR paperwork yet... <sigh> Big storm running here now so couldn't even get down there if I wanted to. Oh well - tomorrow is another day... off to bed now.

Still it was hard for a while.

It all just hit. Why was I born like this? Why couldn't I be like the other girls with their friends?

To bring warmth to others, sometimes we must ourselves undergo trial by fire... and to light a path forward, often we must first understand the nature of the darkness.

To bring out one's true nature, perhaps we have to be in a situation where we are presented with the opportunity to do so.

You're not like the other girls because you're Cindy. Beautiful woman. Beautiful spirit. Whose experiences in life have made her stronger, kinder, altruistic, wise, and willing to offer a hand to those walking roads she herself has travelled.

Were you like the other girls, you wouldn't be you. And that, in my opinion, would be a great loss. You are your girl. And that's something precious.
