Who else gets emotional at certain times of the month?  Is it psychosomatic with our feelings and body changes?

I'm not on T so I have the full effect.  I turn into a psycho rage monster that cries at everything.

Pre-t here too, my time came this weekend, cramps started yesterday.  I have my greatest dsyphoria now, why do I have to go through this every month guys don't.  I feel like what is happening to me? I should have a guy's body, they don't bleed every month and have no control over it.  My emotion are so sensitive at this time; I am on edge and any little thing can set me off.

omg, maybe that's why this month--this week, in particular--has been so rough on me.

It's my period!

:(

It was kinda cool the first few months...but now it's just tedious. Sometimes grueling. The good part is..."this too shall pass", it's not a permanent new low for me.

Hopefully.  :-\

eta: changed color from red to blue...more appropriate for what I was going through LOL. ;)
...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

No it's not psychosomatic... I have cycled since about the third month of HRT. I not only get emotional, but bloating, cramping and irritability among other symptoms. I'm one of the rare girls that get to experience it all. Well almost of it all. Don't fret it's just part of being a woman. Just remember to take it easy during this time and eat plenty of chocolate. That always make me feel better.

Reagan.  It sounds like we have similar experiences.  For me it the first three to five days of the month.  Hugs. Shannon

Yup, I definately have noticeable ups and downs.  I've actually been pulled up by my boss about my temper when it happens (once for irrationally shouting at the canteen staff for halfing the portion of beans on toast on my breakfast!)

It's easier to control now that I'm aware of it, but I do have to watch myself carefully or I can turn into a right irritable cow for a few days every month!

As an FYI on that, I don't cycle, but I do live with a cis girl...

On the darn E for 4 years and 3 months, and while mine is not a cyclic dose, I will have two times, 14 days apart when I turn into a real puppy's mother, first one lasts a few hours to a day, the one at 14 + 14 (28 days) can last about 72 hours with leg edema and real monster attitude.  My family and friends say they can tell what I am going to be like just by looking at the calendar.

In regard to my opening comment, its day 27.75 of this one.

For me it's not so much my mood or attitude but more physical.
