Then I opened the page and saw that it was about "the new Doc," back in Colorado.
Coloradans are weird like that. Most of the state is very conservative and even judgmental, but once people meet you, they open up. They are not near as dogmatic in their conservative ideology as many other states. That is what drives FotF (Focus on the Family) crazy. That this kind of thing goes on in their state, less than two hours down I-25 away from their "world headquarters." If they can't control their own state, what can they control?
The new doc set up shop after I left the SW, but the place was already a hotbed of "TG" activity because of Biber, I suppose. Everybody in Denver and Colorado Springs knew about the "nip 'n tuck" in trinidad. It was no secret at all. But I'll bet this article was a surprise to people there. She has taken Biber's quiet little practice to a whole new level. In essence, she brought a piece of the sophisticated NW to a backwards little corner of Colorado, and I can't see that as anything but good.
I still need some corrective work that I have been putting off because of the healing time, but her reputation and handicraft make me want to at least consult her before I look elsewhere.
