....or just a mean, vindictive witch?  I mean listening to this woman talking to Elizabeth Edwards on the phone and then later saying something about wishing John Edwards had been killed in a terrorist attack.  I know she has a new book out and some people will stoop pretty low to promote their writings but this may be a new low, even for a Repulsiveican.

She's just reflecting her audience. There'd be no money in her views if people didn't want to hear them.

I always tend to think anyone who is intentionally THAT mean and cruel is fighting some serious emotional issues. I'm sure she'd laugh at that suggestion, as it sounds vindictive of ME to say that, but seriously... I just can't believe that self-accepted and loving people would ever act like that without SOMEthing going on inside them. I don't think she's mentally ill or sick or a witch or whatever... just someone with unresolved issues of some sort that are eating her up inside.

I think she's intellectually vacant and a big windbag; almost all she says is incoherent. It takes talent to be that project such emptyness... She's the dittohead's champion and hopefully they're a dying breed.

Paris Hilton has probably more impact on US political opinions than her.

It really bothers me that there are so many people who are like this when it comes to political issues.  I see it on both sides of the fence.  It is such a distraction when it comes to resolving problems.  It is also a sad truth that most of them on the air are vicious conservatives spewing venomous hatred.

I did hear the Edwards/Coulter phone conversation and I'm thrilled with the way Ms Edwards handled herself.  She has brought this issue to the forefront.  I am sickened with the pollution that fills the airwaves.

As for Coulter,  I have no idea what her gig is.  I don't know if it is a show or not.  But I do recognize the way she deals with confrontation. She can't stick to the subject and she pulls in sundry "factoids" that are irrelevant to throw off her opponent.  I used to be married to someone who was so good a that.  In any case, she's making lots of money from her hatred.  It's sick.

Paris Hilton has probably more impact on US political opinions than her.

Unfortunately, they both have more influence than we'd like to think.  I noticed that Michael Moore was preempted from a Larry King interview about his new film for Paris Hilton.

It's not so much that Ann Coulter doesn't like John Edwards; she just hates his politics. This is true with anyone in varying degrees.  Michael Moore hates Bush's politics, liberals and conservatives disagree on their positions rather than hate each other. It's the same about any topic. That's what makes the world go round. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

I am sure she isn't crazy.

She is making a ton of money doing what she does, so she continues.

What blows my mind is that she is making a ton of money doing what she does because there are people out there that support it.

She took the ideological spin that the right pushed, "Librals are Anti-American and Godless and therefore they are our enemies" and she sells it through her actions and speech, and makes quite a bit of money doing it.

Honestly, it makes me sad because the political landscape is no longer about debate, free ideas and free speech, it is about attack and hatred.  The division within our nation will be our downfall.

Well, if you are bored you can Google Ann Coulter and transsexual and it makes for some amusing reading. I am not saying she is, but it is an open question.

The one thing I can say about her is she is a bigot. I don't care for her and I wished she would just go away.

She's not crazy.

She's wildly successful at what she does, the same way that the band KISS was wildly successful at what they did.  (THEY even admitted their music sucked.)

It's the same way that Resident Bush is wildly successful at achieving Fundamentalist Conservative goals.

What she's doing WORKS, and will continue to work -- until it doesn't any more.

she masks her ignorance with over the top hyperbole.  personally, i feel that if she bit my dog, i would be worried about the dog contracting an incurable form of rabies.  you're right though, she is just another raving lunatic who has no substance. she is raving and ranting just to make a quick buck.  i hate her.

I saw Micheal Moore talking to Jon Stewart last night.  He said that King bumped him.  I never watch Larry King no matter what.

Please don't get me started on Paris Hilton.  Is there a more useless waste of a human being anywhere on the planet?  This woman does nothing, produces nothing, has apparently never been punished for anything in her life up until now and yet is all over the television.  We are in the middle of a war we cannot win the way it is being waged and half the country is worried whether the sheets in jail were too scratchy for her soft rich Beverly Hills butt.  With crap like this blanketing our media, it's no wonder we keep electing rich old men to office and then being surprised when they pass laws that benefit other rich old men and step on the middle class.

I turned the show off after the Elizabeth Edwards phone call.  I'm not sure why anybody would buy an Ann Coulter book and put one nickel into her pockets.  I think it says a lot about American society, unfortunately.

Ann, well, she's is typically rude, illogical, dogmatic and defensive I have more respect for Paris Hilton than Ann Coulter. They're both vapid, clueless idiots; atleast Paris is funny, Ann isn't.

I needed a shower after listening to the female version of Adolf Hitler.  eeeek!

I get this impression too, but I think (maybe I remember wrong) that people who knew her as a yout (my my cousin vinnie reference of the day) recall what kind of person she was like.  I wonder if she paid them to refer to her as a girl?  :-\

Ann Coulter is a Nazi that reflects the core Republican base in the United States.

I really could see no difference between her and the fascist propagandists in the the 1930's.

It shows me that the GOP in the US is not much different than the fascists that plagued Europe.  It is sad that very few people (save for Keith Olberman and John Stewart) are calling these people out for what they really are: hateful corporatist right wing religous bigots, that are essentially showing the darkest side of America, the side of slavery, segragation, bigotry, misogyny, homophobia, and hate.  There is not much difference between Ann Coulter and the KKK.  Except she has a prettier face, but the ideas are essentially the same.

Neo-Con is essentially the same thing as Neo-Nazi, but in a suit and a TV network called FOX NEWS.

Hopefully America will wake up before its too late, but seeing the recent supreme court decisions, we are already having decades of progress being pulled back by this fascist regime.

Keira, I really wish that was the truth.  Sadly she has a good deal of influence in America and is regularly a key-note speaker at major republican/conservative conferences here.  You have only lived in San Fran, a place where she is considered a joke.  But her words and opinions reflect the core of the American right.  She has a larger degree of influence than you could imagine.  It is really sad state we are living here in the US.  I am fighting the good fight, but I am well aware of the realities and I take them very seriously.  Brushing off Ann Coulter and those of her fundie ilk is a major mistake that the left has done for to long.  We have to address her like the threat to democracy she and the right in the US really are.
