Aiden is a good name-I assume you know the stereotype though.  I actually do know four aidens.

What is the sterotype?  That there are a lot of FTMs named Aiden?  It is a great name.

I hear the name Jace over and over again in my community.  I seriously don't know a single person who doesn't have either a FTM lover or FTM friend named Jace.

Is Jace the new Aiden or is that just what is becoming extremely popular in my area?

I don't see anything wrong with having an uncommon name.  I know more than a few people with uncommon names.  I don't automatically assume that means they are trans.

Maggie's right, though.  You've got time to think about it.  :)

My first name is the alternate version of my born name, which is Christian lol many call me Chris XD but no im not a jerk lol.Least i dont think o_O tho i am rather blunt and honest.I decided on it because of its meaning and doesnt bother me at all regarding the past.

Oh, I was by no means saying that everyone named Chris is a jerk. XD  Just in my own experience, lol.  You seem like a pretty cool dude though, so I guess that makes you the exception. :D

This is really funny because I know a Jace too!  Aiden is very popular with FtMs because let's face it-if you had to choose a "male" name, what else would you choose?  It's a really good name, but a lot of people do choose it for that same reason.  Whatever-just stop worrying and choose what you choose.
My gender problem isn't half as bad as society's.  Although mine is still pretty bad.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you in Iceland? I thought that to have a name there it had to be either previously used or accepted by the naming committee, and neither Misha or Aiden have been. It might be a lot easier to choose a name from your country.

You are right, with ether of those names I would have to run it through the naming committee first. And it is also one of the reasons why I thought David Alexander (Davíð Alexander is how it would be spelled in Icelandic), Landon, and Linden as well since they are nordic names. The naming committee here in Iceland has been accepting a lot more names here. I know of someone who named their daughter Mist Ake and another that named their son Annus..... So.... But, I have also always liked one Icelandic name, and it is Úlfur.

And yush! You all are right, there is no rush :)

Tim, Aidan isn't one of those names that suddenly cropped up over the last few years. Take actor Aidan Quinn for example, born in 1959... It's a name that's been around for forever. It is a "normal" name. Granted it has become more popular recently, but there's no reason for a casual observer to think there's anything odd about it. If, for example, I chose "Khalessi" (which I would not do), that would be a good example of a dead giveaway since it was never in use before Game of Thrones took off though it's popular now.

Aidan, you have plenty of time to test out new names, don't worry.  :D

Edit: just saw OP is from Iceland. Very different siuation lol

Never said it just showed up, but it wasn't ever popular in America prior to the last 10 or so years. Maybe it is normal but if you you were born in America and you're older than say 15 years old, yeah thats kind of a strange name to choose because it's not common for many USA born parents to have named heir child that in 1997 or whatever. Aiden Quinn isn't a good example for that as he's Irish but I'm not sure if OP is from America so that might make a difference.
There's also about 9999 trans guys named Aiden/Aidan. Now when I meet people with that name I immediately wonder if they're also an ftm. Oddly eough I've been right every time (though I've only met 5 Aidens irl).
