Are you a dog or a cat person?

dog person

both
neither

Hello guys and dolls.
I used to be strictly a cat person, prior to falling in love with the cutest, sweetest, little Maltese.
Now I'm both.

I used to be just a dog person, but was found by the cat who owns me 14 years ago. Now I'm both too.

Cats are....meh. I suppose they are cute, but dogs are kewl. Especially Bassett Hounds, they are so adorable with those big floppy ears.

Currently, I haven't got any pets, but I have had both dogs and cats in my life...dogs can be fun, but only the cats have truly captured my heart.  (As if my being a cat person wasn't obvious from my cat ears in my icon picture!)

I use to have dogs, but when I transitioned I had to leave them with my ex and children.

Now I have 3 Cats, so I am firmly in the Cat person camp.

And that 'lamb' cat avatar is too adorable for words.

I would prefer a gog if I had time for a pet. The fish in the back pond are doing OK.

There is an addorable Dog across the road from me and our family had a great god call Matie who dies a few years ago now.

I said neither because first, cats don't really care until the can opener starts. And they always show you their butthole when they walk away. Then you have to have a litter box. Some will argue cats are healthy in clean, yet they have an open box of poo in their house. And they track that around the house and on your tables and counters between their little kitty toes. Ya know, that isn't granola and raisins there on the table!!

Dogs are just loud and bark and have bad breath and they eat cat poo out of the litter box and then want to come and lick your face  :-\ They also destroy your yard. Then there are fleas, ticks, and muddy paws, then the weekly baths, heart worm pills and picking up dog poo in the yard   :icon_blah:. Maybe I am just too lazy to own such a creature. I feel they are best admired from afar.

Cat person.
Every day our three cats seem to do something unexpected and we've got tons of stories of the things they've done.

Why just this morning one of our cats was sitting on the breakfast table and I didn't see her till I saw this paw emerge from between the cereal boxes trying to reach my bowl. I played with the paw before it retracted behind the cereal box. I'm not sure what she was trying to do but it was cute.

Being given the gift of two-spirits meant that this individual had the ability to see the world from two perspectives at the same time. This greater vision was a gift to be shared, and as such, Two-spirited beings were revered as leaders, mediators, teachers, artists, seers, and spiritual guides

I'm definitely a cat person. I'm still missing Arthur, who passed on nearly 20 years ago after owning me for 10. He was black all over except for white paws and a white chest. I always used to joke with my friends that he was wearing a dinner jacket (tuxedo).

I love dogs too, but kitties (we have two)... we understand one another all too well ;)

I'd have to go with cats since I have one (Or should I say I'm owned by her), dogs are just too high maintenance.

I haven't had a dog in a long time, because I can't have one where I live. I still prefer cats though.

Cats.  Full stop.  I was raised by a cat, really, and I'm a bit feral.  I'm currently looking into moving to a new place and the first thing I say to all potential landlords is this.

"I have one demand and it is my only dead stipulation.  I have one domestic shorthair tabby cat.  He comes with me.  If that is a problem, I take my business elsewhere, okay?"

they both have their qualities.
i like the independence of cats, you can leave them alone all day and they won't freak out.
dogs, i like that they get excited when they see you... and that they'll go on outings.
