especially when you consider it is there throughout your formative years no matter how early you transition.

Now, do you see why I consider myself to be wiser, luckier, and blessed?  For all I know, I could be dead right now or perhaps rotting in a mental institution.  However, I am here, alive, well, happy, and finally living a life that makes sense to me.

Another way I could put it is - we go through the same hardships, struggles, losses, as everyone else (and god knows I have), but on top of that we have to fight our bodies and fight for our identities for our entire lives.
