How do folks handle changing your voice around family members? Your spouse, kids, parents, ect...

It just seems like it will be forever an awkward thing. I've come out to my whole family and have considered transition, but this is a big area of confusion for me. I seems like it will just be awkward and as though I'm acting which will make everyone including myself uncomfortable.

If it just evolves gradually and naturally, it will mostly go unnoticed.

I believe that once someone decides to make a 100% effort to transition and starts the process all issues are resolved thereafter.

What do I mean you might ask?

Well prior to really transitioning you have nothing on the line. You can always fall back upon the guy thing. On the other hand when someone does transition it becomes very apparent very quickly that certain things such as voice has to fit. Since there is no falling back these things will fall into place naturally.
