I came out a little under three years ago, first to my sister, then my Mother. I came out to them mostly because they were the only ones I trusted at the time and I knew would support me no matter what, so in my state of desperation they were the best choices.

As the years have progressed coming out just becomes easier and easier, especially quite recently as now the hormones are starting to take affect its more of a relief to be able to tell people just what is going on so they no longer question me about why I'm am emotional wreck and such.

With each positive response I have had it has built my confidence so much, I am very lucky as I have only had one bad experience with coming out and that was to a girlfriend that I had been with for three years.

Up until recently I have been very careful with who I tell, I kept a very tight control over who knew and who didn't. But the past few weeks has seen me coming out to people that I'm not even very close with.

It is a very liberating feeling but very personal to the individual, you can only go your own speed.
