You think you have it bad, you should try being a Sega fan. :D

I am, and always will be, a fan of old Nintendo (up through the SNES). They lost me with the N64, and although I liked the Gamecube, I generally haven't been a fan of them since. Although I find the Wii U more appealing than the Wii (It has a real controller!), I'm yet to see any software for it that really interests me.

That being said, I am considering getting a 3DS, if only for more Etrian Odyssey. I hear Code of Princess is quite good as well, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't intrigued by Super Mario 3D Land.

I love Nintendo.  Mario games have always been the best.  But, besides the Mario and Zelda games, ever since the Gamecube, Nintendo has been pretty horrible in the quality of games.  They made their choice to focus on the younger generation and non-gamers and have been successful in that.  I mean I could never imagine my parents playing video games before the Wii. A lot of people who find no appeal in really intense gaming experiences can find an enjoyable gaming experience with Nintendo, a lot of their games are just goofy fun, games that don't require a ton of gaming experience to enjoy, its just really simple fun.  That's where they have lost a lot of their older fans who grew up on NES and SNES.

Nintendo fan to the max. game cube is the last I owned though. I miss Mario games and Donkey Kong country, and lemmings, and...well I could go on forever.

I think I'd be more of a Nintendo fan if they finally retired Mario instead of wheeling out another rehash every time they wanted a sure-fire chunk of change. Same goes for Zelda. The franchises are way past their sell by dates, in my opinion.

I was a big fan in the SNES days (still maintain that Secret of Mana is one of the best RPG's ever made), and I owned a GameCube (admittedly only for a specific couple of games), but since the advent of the Wii and their departure into catering for the casual market with gimmicky 'games', I've grown a lot cooler towards the big N.

Also, I really hate that Cashcom moved their Monster Hunter games over to Nintendo and away from Sony. That must've been one heck of a payday for them. But even MH wouldn't be enough of a reason for me to buy into Nintendo again.

Besides, only 20 more days till my PS4 comes, so it's rather a moot point, lol. *fidgets*

I don't own a Wii-U because lolmoney, but I've been a huge Nintendo fan ever since I was given an N64 for Christmas when I was...four?  Five?  Currently, it looks like the 3DS is shaping up to be my all-time favorite system (well, besides my PC).

Always will be a Nintendo Fan. I have Dolphin EMU on my computer, with a wireless sensor bar, and a Wii-motion + connected via blue tooth. I play Wii and Gamecube games in HD, with savestates in case I have to stop suddenly due to RL issues.

Been a Nintendo fan since my Brother and I got the NES for Xmas waaaaaay back when :)

I love hearing all of your opinions about this! I agree that Nintendo has taken the easy/casual route and has lost many fans because of it. I still love their systems I just think the systems could have much better games than they do, but they're still not doing so bad. In my case I'm a huge Zelda fan, I agree they have abused Mario a bit too much, but the zelda games take a long time to be released (unless you count the handheld ones) so in my opinion, leave aside the countless (and needless) remakes, the franchises could still be doing good. Also for those who talked about the 3DS, I agree, the 3DS rocks and it's probably the nintendo console with the best games at the moment (commpared to wii or wii U).

TaoRaven, just saw your reply. I started with the gameboy and snes but still managed to get a nes in my teens and loved it! still have it but it needs some cleaning to work properly again

Nintendo was a huge part of my childhood and I still play on my Gamecube almost daily. ;) I love Pokémon games especially (been playing them since early childhood and I'm 20 for the moment haha) but I enjoy Super Mario games as well as numerous others. Sure I do have some Playstation systems as well (PS2 and PSP) but I generally tend to prefer Nintendo a little bit more. So yeah, there's one more Nintendo fan here!

Miyuki, I must have missed your comment somehow, to be honest, I like Sega a lot too, especially the first sonic games ^_^

WhiteDustWolf, I'm glad to see there's another nintendo fan out there! I have owned a couple of sony consoles myself but have never played them as much as my nintendo consoles

I ama. nintendo fan and have been since the original. But I am trying to find a way to explain to my wife that I need one. My girls are getting older so probably by the next one they will help in talking their mother to get one. But until then I can get a PS4 cause my wife likes what you can do with that besides the games.

I was able to get my 3DS so that will def do for now.
I dunno... I was normal, throughout my life, until I turned 4 and realised that I shouldn't be called a he.

Sorry for being away for so long, sometimes I just kind of zone out xD Emo I can't wait for smash bros to come out either! I'm so excited about that.

chrissydr: I hope you can get one soon enough, the playstation 4 is pretty cool too though and I'll try to get one myself at some point. The 3DS is totally amazing, glad to hear you got one. I have one too and have been playing chibi-robo photo finder quite a bit lately (it's an eshop game).

The DS is probably my favorite gaming console(?) ever. I enjoy my 3DS too but I really don't have much for it yet.

My Wii was mostly just used for Netflix.

I haven't owned anything by Nintendo since the NES. I don't even own one of the newer generation systems. I still use a PS2.

I grew up on Nintendo systems more than any other (although I did have a ton of fun with my Playstation as well). I had an NES, SNES and N64, but I dropped off after that. Mario does feel abused to me at this point, but I hope the Zelda series never, ever dies. I've been a fan since the original, and I feel it's (mostly) remained a quality franchise. I've played all of them up to Twilight Princess (not counting the handhelds. I've played several of them, but not sure how many there are.).

Also, Pokemon. Who isn't a fan of Pokemon?

Me.  :D

I was in my late teens by the time that whole thing started.

As far as video games are concerned, I started out with Pong & the Atari 2600 and went from there.

Agreed.  Also, Secret of Evermore wasn't too shabby either.

SNES had a ton of exclusive titles (mainly from Squaresoft) that made me a Nintendo fan for life.

Now it seems they only bring their own IPs to the table.  Mario and Luigi U are both good games, but other than that I haven't found much else to really get excited about for my Wii U.  At least my son loves the hell out of Mario so it is totally worth the money I spent lol
