I been on hrt for going on 11 months now. In the beginning when, I started it, I had this weird feeling in my feet, but not my hands. Sort of like an aching feeling, but it was only at night when, I would go to sleep. It lasted about 2 months and then it went away, I recently a week ago had to stop taking my estradiol for a week do to money issue, but I continue to still take my spironolactone. Now back on my estradiol the aches have started again. This time my hands and feet. My whole body was sore at first but, I figure cause the weather was changing, I was coming down with something. Now that all that is pass my feet are still aching not bad but still a little uncomfortable, I wasn't staying hydrated like I was suppose to, and I know while on hrt this is the worst you can do to your body, I been making sure now I been doing everything I can to stay hydrated and eating right. My doctor has also added progestogen to my additional estradiol and spironolactone. Please anybody that can offer advice or help, or if this has happen to anybody else.

It can be a side effect of the Spiro due to the diuretic and the potassium retention isssues.  Call your doctor back and see if they have done a full blood panel for Vitamin D3 and Potassium in your blood stream.  Sometimes they and we concentrate on the hormones and not the rest of the chemistry that can be involved.  I have the problem you talk about from time to time, but mine is related to type ii diabetes.

Wiser now about Post Op reality!!

Thank You for the insight because this is not a good feeling I hate feeling like I have to lay a certain way at night when, I sleep HRT means a lot to me, I don't know another way to transition without it nor do I know if you can even not take spiro at all to transition, I will talk to my doctor about my concerns

My doctor has me on a vitamin d supplment because I'm deficient and hrt can cause bone issues.  So, I think the advice above me is pretty good.  Make sure to talk to you doctor and make sure your levels are okay.
