In epidemic of campus sex crimes, LGBT cases often neglected

Despite a push over the last decade to improve reporting of same-sex sexual assault on college campuses, most such crimes go unreported, Stapel said. 

"Sexual violence against individuals who identify as LGBTQ (the Q can stand for either queer or questioning) has been perceived as a violent attempt to oppress those who are challenging social norms around gender and sexuality," the study[from NSVRC] reads.

One problem the group spotlights for service providers is the failure to include statistics on their websites about male survivors of sexual assault.
