Well guys 'n' girls, after about six months of shear waiting around and attending so-called support groups - which has don't nothing for me, other than make me pissed with the other insecure trans-people. I finally have my appointments at Charing Cross. It's been just under four weeks when I had my initial appointment, now I have a further two. Next I'll see Dr Leighton Seal for hormones, I believe.

Finally, I feel the journey is starting and everyone around me seems to be in-support of what I'm trying to do. I came out to my sister first and my parents later... I've decided I won't bother living a stealth life, I just wanna enjoy it.

People around me have said I've been really lucky cause my trip has so-far been completely trouble free!! To which I don't know how to respond. ::) I think it's probably because I'm in university studying, training daily in the the gym trying to encourage my body to change... All instead of being home feeing sorry for myself.

Anyway, thought I'd update you folks.

Thank you for the replies, everyone.
I do expect this journey to be challenging, if not joyful :D

My previous posts didn't feel well received in this community I therefore stopped contributing, instead stayed around as a passive member, reading everyone else's posts. However now that I'm actually moving forwards, I feel I have a voice again; although it's early days plus I've yet to gain experience before I can share!! ^-^

Ideally, I would like to keep everyone informed of my progress, especially those in the UK battling with the NHS; who for one reason or another is struggling to get their initial referral to a suitable psychosexual therapists specialising in gender dysphoria. I know from first hand experience that it can feel like an impossible and daunting process but I assure you it's possible. One just needs to persevere and think positive.
