A British teenager said she was in "total shock" to learn that she had been born without a vagina.

[. . . ] Tests soon showed that she had MRKH syndrome, a genetic condition that meant she had been born without a vagina, womb or cervix.

"I was really angry and felt like I wasn't a real woman any more."

You may also want to check out the "The Missing Vagina Monologue" which is about the experiences of a woman with the same condition. It's a very compelling read.

If you read the Missing Vagina Monologue, you'll see there's a lot more problems, like developing hearing problems, that come with MRKH than just not having a vagina.

From http://ghr.nlm.nih.gov/condition/mayer-rokitansky-kuster-hauser-syndrome#definition

QuoteWomen with MRKH syndrome may also have abnormalities in other parts of the body. The kidneys may be abnormally formed or positioned, or one kidney may fail to develop (unilateral renal agenesis). Affected individuals commonly develop skeletal abnormalities, particularly of the spinal bones (vertebrae). Females with MRKH syndrome may also have hearing loss or heart defects.

So, it's still no walk in the park.
