sorry about this discussion about metric-imperial units it was interesting, because also
for me it is easy to visualize a woman whose height is 175cm and not so easy to visualize
her if she is 5' 9''.

@AMY it is very difficult to say from male pictures. But if you look at many
"before & after" threads you will see that nothing is impossible. You will see
many beautiful transformations, so... why the next couldn't be yours?

Yes, I think you stand a good chance of turning out very passable. I'd start laser or electro now if you aren't already. Especially if you plan on starting HRT in 6 months as it's going to take time to get rid of that beard shadow. At 5'6" you already have several of us taller girls jealous. You also have pretty good skin and hair. Keep up the hard work in dropping the lbs, I think you'll do great.

Having beard shadow which is heavy and a receded hair with a major bald patch at back of my head sure does not help. To be reliant on wigs and need extensive laser treatment being nearly  50 is depressing me greatly!

There's no shame in using a wig. Many many cis-women have to use them too. So you are almost 50, so what? Aren't you glad that you aren't 60 looking back and wishing "If I'd only done this when I was 49..."?

I know, it's easy to get pulled into the whole reflecting on the past and wishing things were different. I do it too. But snap yourself out of it. Screw the past and all those doubts, and to hell with what anyone might say. Those thoughts only serve to rob you of the happiness that you deserve. There is no one and nothing that can take happiness from you but your own fear and self-doubt.

Look yourself in the mirror and tell that woman she's beautiful. Tell her that she still has the most amazingly awesome years ahead of her now because she has been set free. She is finally free to be herself to the world... and that, in and of itself is beautiful.

Hi, judging by your pictures I would definitely say that you are well on your way to passing. There are some things that makes you look a bit masculine, but they will wash away once you start HRT. Good luck and keep up the good work!

Hi, judging by your pictures I'd say that you do pass well. The two latter pictures are better than the first two and they say "female". The first one is not a good picture so I won't comment on that one. Picture number two is also taken from an unfair angle and doesn't give us a clear picture of how you look.
So based on the pictures I'd say, yes you pass!
