My therapist has already told me, he will send my papers whenever im ready to go to the endocrinologist.  Today, im starting chantix on a low dose, since the higher dose i had tried 2 years ago made me sick after a couple weeks(although i easily quit on it).  At this point, the only thing i have to wait for is cash to go to the endo.  During this time im hoping to introduce a new diet into my regimen(maybe vegatarian or vegen even>?) to start preparing for HRT as well as some cardio.

Two things ive been looking at as i wait to get enough money for HRT, is early and late health risks.    It seems the two biggest are DVT and Liver damage.    I was thinking of pushing for GnRH if i can when i goto the Endo(even though its way more expensive) As well as either the Estradiol Patch or ?.  Instead of all of those pills, to reduce risk of liver dmg in the long term.  Other than quitting smoking, what else can i do to reduce the risk of DVT in the meantime?  I Know both of those are expensive, (well, Decapeptyl injections can seriously be gotten anywhere for a few bucks.) But id rather wait, and spend the few extra bucks when it comes to my health.  And im sure ive already damaged my liver some from 15 years of smoking and on and off drug usage.

Im wondering what are the best non-pill form HRT medications to discuss with my endo?

Implants. E implants are expensive in some countries but in Australia they are good value. Easily the best form of E delivery IMO.

Give up the cigs. Buy a new dress or have a make over with the money you save each week.
Exercise, get fit and gorgeous. You are getting a new body, love it and be proud of being you.

You are being reborn.

Cindy, im so broke right now after having a reaction to the two medications my psych put me on last month, im not sure id even need chantix anymore to quit smoking haha.  But seriously, when i run out of food(and ive got like 3-6 days of food left) ill be taking a week long hiatus from eating weather i want to or not.  My friends are all coming together for me though, getting alot of new clothes from them.  I just got my hair done two days ago with some of the last of my money(i can almost pass now, until i open my mouth haha)

Ive seen people mention alot of this stuff, and its high cost, but nobody ever says how much it costs. Whats expensive?   My acne medication costs 400usd per month.   I know for sure i wont be taking pill form estrogens since ive been a smoker for so long.   I'd be at the endo next week tbh if i had the cash though lol.

Also, i really dont know anything at all about eating right, or dumping muscle with diet. I've been eating nothing but protein every day for years, steak and potatoes so to speak.  Ive read ditching protein will aid in dropping muscle as well as boosting cardio. I just dont know anything about eating right at all, esp when im cutting protein and red/white meat is my goto aswell as a multitude of microwaveable meats lol.  Ive got no idea how to cook at all really. I do see some of these girls though, they are blending like vegatable smoothies or something all day and just drinking all their meals?  Then just jogging?

Start simple. You have lived an unhealthy lifestyle for quite a while, and you now want to establish a good, solid foundation for how you are going to live the rest of your life. If you try to do too much too soon you'll just get discouraged.

Quitting smoking has got to be one of the absolute best things you can do for yourself, so good job there!

Your body is like a computer - garbage in, garbage out, so the first place to start with food is inside your mind with your attitude toward it.  Just because you can eat it doesn't mean that you should. Realize that choices you make today about what you eat will have life long consequences.

Start with the easy stuff - if you eat any junk food then stop it - food like hamburgers, fries, potato chips, etc. That stuff is just pure fat and salt, both of which will lead to cardiac trouble when you get older. And it'll save you money avoiding that kind of food.

Learn to read food labels. You'll be shocked at the amount of fat and sodium that's in some food.

Cut out alcohol, but an occasional glass of wine or a beer is not going to hurt you. The same goes for sugary drinks like sodas. Drink a LOT of water each day - water keeps you healthy and makes your skin look nicer.

Eat more veggies and salads. Salads are quick and easy - you don't have to go overboard here, a head of lettuce, some fat free/lite salad dressing, and some simple items to place on top of the salad will work. If you shop around you can find the ingredients for salad pretty cheap. Avoid regular salad dressing, it's full of salt and fat and calories.

Chicken is a pretty good source of protein, and it goes well in almost any kind of dish. You can even chop some up and throw it on top of your salads.

Allow yourself to have a meal of whatever you like once a week. That helps because you know that if you can just hang on and eat right you'll get to the day when you get to have what you want.

You also need to think about getting some exercise. You don't need to pay money to join a gym, you can work out for free - walking is free, and you are outside in the fresh air assuming that the weather permits. If the weather is bad then find a mall or an enclosed space to walk, or look around in your community to see if there are free community places that you can go to. You can join a gym later if you wish, but you need to get started immediately with exercise. Set a goal for the distance you'll walk and the number of times each week that you'll walk. If you want to lift weights you can probably pick up some used weights from a thrift store or a garage sale for very little money.

Just doing these simple things will make a huge difference in the way you feel each day, and it will encourage you to do even more for yourself.

And congrats on the new life!  :)

My eating isnt too bad. I know what i buy and what goes into my body(even if alot of it is microwaveable).  I intake as little sugar as i can in my diet.   Im just shy of 6ft tall atm and i fluctuate between 180-190 on a 4kish calorie diet.(seriously, my food bill is insane).   And i really dont move around too much other than being at the PC or hours of driving.  Alot of this is due to my leg not being in too good shape.   I dont drink often, and when i do, im out with my gfs and im wearing my tight lacing corset so i look good, which cuts my portions by 2/3rds.  Once i finally have enough girl clothes to pack away all my boy clothes my portions will be dropping dramatically.  Still thinking of doing some kind of Green smoothie thing, so i dont keep so much muscle on.   Some leefy greens/ apple/extra fibre source of some kind and some ice in a blender!(this will also keep my food off my clothes haha).

Still cardio is an issue, there isnt anywhere safe to just be walking here usually, even the beach has cars driving on it, not to mention with my leg, its sometimes difficult to make it down the stairs of my third floor apt to my car. and up again is even worse, sometimes just pulling my self up on the railing :( Maybe walking will get better when my lungs heal i guess>?

The above has basically been my diet plan. All of that (with the occasional drink or two - so long as it's inside my calorie goals), plus a good breakfast (cereal & yogurt). If you're cutting weight... you should count calories! It's the most effective way to understand how much you need to eat vs. how much you're actually eating.

I've just started with exercise and it is important! If it's too much all at once, make sure you're not breaking a sweat. Start more intense exercise only AFTER you've fixed the other things -- you can't change it all overnight!!

If you have some room inside you can do cardio there. It doesn't take much... get a couple videos and follow along!

Yeah, im going to do the diet change along with quitting smoking first.  My brother is a cardio expert and an undefeated MMA fighter.  Think he teaches crossfit or something when hes in town, in addition to teaching MMA. He should be able to help me out i think, although most of his training is just running.  I asked my GFs about this random of smoothie thing. Apparently they are all doing it haha.  Kale, spinach, bannana, apple, kiwi, flax seed, ice  and blend.
