Um, hi!
My name is Kerry, I'm FTM but am not on hormones or anything yet.

I found this site because it seems like almost every time I'd search google for some kind of transgender topic there was someone on this forum asking exactly what I wanted to know. So I signed up in case I wanted to post something maybe, and also because I don't know many trans* people in my area and that can be kind of lonely.

I hope I can make some friends here!

Hi Kerry, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 8472 members. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother.

Welcome Kerry!  I know how you feel about the lonely part when it comes to not knowing other trans people in the area.  Hopefully by becoming a member here, the lonliness can be lessoned.

Enjoy the site!

Oh wow, I didn't expect responses so quickly. Thank you!

This is a big forum, so I'm not quite sure where to start. Is there somewhere in particular I should look at first? Apart from the rules, I was good and read them before making an account. Should I maybe tell more about myself in this thread? Do a lot of people read these introduction threads? I know on other forums I've been on mostly only the mods paid attention.

Well have a look through stuff you want to read of course. Ask questions, doesn't matter if they have been asked before. Get to know us! Yes Mods do post but everyone is friendly her and we like people. We have issues but that is why we are here.

I'm in Adelaide South Australia, I was originally from Liverpool in the UK. It's about 25C here and very pleasant and I'm about to go out to a BBQ for a friends 1st birthday for her little boy.

Wow, thank you!

Um, well I live in Raleigh, North Carolina, and I am a cartoonist. The independent cartoonist (i.e. people not working for major publishers) community is very friendly to transgender people, so I'm very lucky in that respect.

Unfortunately there aren't many cartoonists in my area, and we tend to be extremely introverted so it's very hard to find other people nearby with my interests and even harder to get them to socialize.

It's becoming a problem because I have no local friends other than my roommates and they will be leaving when our lease ends in may.
