Wow this is crazy. I've been asking a ton of my cis friends today and not a single one knows what the hell I am talking about.

I, too, thought it must be normal but I'm really starting to believe there is a possible link here.

Does anyone have cis friends or relatives that share having these experiences? This is NUTS!

I'm confused.  How does diluting reduce the number of molecules of something.

<edit: Nevermind, I see you mean diluting and separating into smaller quantities>
Correct. They mix the substance with water in a ratio of 1:100, then repeat the process 30 times. This is what is known as a C30 dilution. According to Avogadro's number the last active molecule would be gone at C12.

I had something similar to this when I was young but it wasn't so much a visual perception change. I'd sometimes lay down to go to sleep and my mind's eye/headspace/whatever felt like it was far away. Like everything I thought about was on the other side of this great chasm. It's very hard to explain since I think part of it is just a feeling. I have certain types of synesthesia that relate to this, so I've attributed it to that, but I guess I could be wrong. Anyway, it happened quite a bit when I was younger and was very scary and uncomfortable, but I think it's only happened once or twice in the past several years.

I've never asked anyone if they experience this, but my understanding is that it is very common, perhaps just not so common that you would necessarily have any friends who experience AIWS. However, the fact that several forum members experience this while non of your cis-friends do is easily be explained when we consider that this forum is likely to have far more active users than you have friends :)
