I hope that there is someone here that can help me. After the start of the next year,(so in a few months), I get to start hrt. But the down side is right now I can't find any insurances that cover transgender expenses at all. And even the ACA plans for my state (Kansas) all have exclusions for trans services. Does anyone know of an insurance that will cover hrt in Kansas? If not has anyone had to pay out of pocket for just the hormones?(not self medicating) and how much did it cost? If I'm unclear please let me know.

It depends which type of medications you take, the pill ones are super cheap.  Injections/patches/implants/name brands all expensive.
