More later on the day, but Sally's made me cry.

They treated me like a human woman who needed help. 

And I cried in my car, as I drove back home.....and then, I turned right back around and drove back to the store.

Barely holding back from crying again, I gave the manager a big, long hug and simply told her,

"Thank you."

Thats so sweet.  The goodness in humanity shines in people such as her.

Just goes to show that there are some people who only see you as you. It is so much a great feeling.

oh boy....i had gone over there after being humiliated at the dmv

the contrast between the 2 was so striking that i just lost it in the car

perceiving the contrast per se can rip you to pieces, for you see with a clarity and sharpness not otherwise possible

No. But her cashier said that was why she wanted to work for her, because she was such a nice person.

She [the manager] even went out of her way to find and give me some 'how to' literature, for applying make-up and she even helped me in selecting lipstick,

"Excuse me, but I need experienced counsel with this..."

And one of the male employees in the same facility took time and explained to me about nail care. I could not believe that I was being treated so well, like a human being.

I'll be a repeat customer at Sally Beauty.

That is very cool, Rhonda. I need to check out the Sallys that is around here. I keep saying that I am going to go down there and check it out, but I always forget to do it.
