MtF shoe sizes? (Help)

So, I'm hopefully about to start going out in public as myself, a woman dressed in woman's clothes in less than a week (Probably this Monday) but there's 3 things I really don't have. A coat, the socks and, the shoes. -_- This brings a few questions I need answered.

1. How can I tell what size sock/shoe I am for MtF? I forget but I "thought" I once heard it was add or take away 2 feet for the shoes but no clue on the socks? 

2. Is there any kind of size difference between male and female coats or any difference at all?

3. I have a pair of old black dress shoes and a pair of white shoes that look like they're sports shoes but they're really walking shoes, both male shoes...so my question here is, would it be safe dressing in my female attire but wearing either of these two shoes? Would people notice they're really guys shoes? I ask because Atm I can't order shoes online so I'd have to get them in store.

4. What shoes for woman does Wal-Mart have? Any good ones? Would they even have them in my size? My shoes size is an 8 but shoes between sizes 8-10 are what can fit me and usually it's a size 9 & a half wide. I'm always a wide size it seems so are there any wide size shoes for woman in my size?

Thanks, very confusing for me though. 

Anyway I was able to follow what it said below till it got to the width sizes. 

Shoe sizes: A woman's shoe size is usually one number higher than
        the equivalent in a man's shoe. If you wear a 9 man's shoe, try a
        10 woman's shoe. A B-width shoe is considered medium for women, a
        D-width for man. If a shoe is not available in the correct women's
        width, try a size 1/2 to 1 size larger (i.e. a 10 C-D size, try an
        11B).
P.S. Nice write up but it bothered me it was only listing cross dressers and I'm not a cross dresser but a MtF transgender person. I don't think it covers clothing for intersex people either. So hopefully that will get a much needed up date at some point, other than that, nice indeed, just confusing for me sadly. (Don't understand it)

Hopefully you have a smaller shoe size, this woman has trouble finding shoes that don't look like my grandmothers and rings that don't have to stretch to fit... Damn curse!!

It's all variable on the brand. In men's, I had a pair of 11s that was a bit on the small side, a pair of 12s a bit on the big side,  and my current pair of male shoes are 11s which are pretty big on me. That being said, my right foor can fit no problem into an 11 women's, byt the left is a tiny bit snug in 12s. I did fit into a friend's (very sexy) strappy heels last night, which were 11s, which fit well on the right but were a tad snug on the left.
Tl;dr version: try them on first, whether at a store, or from a website that takes returns if they don't fit.

I have short, boxy feet. Lengthwise, I'm right in the average female range. Width-wise is another story.

It's a pain in the backside as like a lot of women's clothing shoe sizes are brand specific.  I live in the UK and when I wore men's shoes, was a UK size 8.  That is equivalent to an EU size 42.  Nine West ladies size 8 is an EU 42, as are a few other brands, but the majority of ladies shoe manufacturers in the UK class a size 8 as an EU 41.  In those brands I have to get a size 9 which is often difficult to find
