open toed shoes & stockings/pantyhose?

I'm having a chat on facebook, the girl I think is a cross-dresser and while I don't really chat on there too much this girl keeps trying to chat with me.

Anyway she says this;
"got some new shoes, so can't complain at all
4.5 inch heel, open toed, black with straps
some lady bought em off the internet and then they didn't fit so she posted free shoes and I went and got em
haha
about half a size too small for me but with stockings it's ok"

Why do people do this? I never wear stockings or pantyhose, I do wear black tights some days so maybe I just don't get it but it looks so bad.

Who's with me? who thinks it looks ok?

Personally, I will wear some light tights with peep toe shoes, but never with ones with a larger opening. But, everyone has their own style. I think that if someone can make it work with their style they should do it. If they try to follow the current fashion trends, they probably should not wear any sort of toe covering with an open toed shoe.

In Australia (Myer - Try Voodoo) and UK (Marks &Spencer) they do a great range in Open Toe pantie house, that look great with open toe sandals and high heels. For summer this is what I go with allays especially when one has one nails done in a pedicure. Very sexy. I only wish I could get the Voodoo ones black as I can at M&S in the UK. Oh well!

today I sadly had o go to a funeral for a friend of my mothers and while at the wake I looked at this really amazingly beautiful girl who just took mine & everyones eye in black. Anyway, she had pantyhose on with open toed shoes and my mother said "why would she do that? she's just beautiful, but those shoes & pantyhose doesn't work on anyone" I laughed and said just thinking the same thing.

It's not really carved in stone, that you cannot use open toed shoes and pantyhose.

I wear the combination, as I have very nasty scars in my legs and I don't really feel comfortable without pantyhose.

came upon this topic from earlier in the year... i know the fashion police seems to have won an indoctrination campaign against open toe shoes with hose as an abomination but nude, beige and tan sheer toe stockings or pantyhose with peep pumps or sandals is totally sexy and femme, especially with nail polish on toes. very demure, sexy and naughty...

Imo big nono.

historically the more peep-toe and/or toe-cleavage the more scandalous. Until recently they were usually fairly small. Now modern heels design incorporates more fantasy and eroticism. Its a window to show off your toes! so dont cover em!

I think for Pumps, maybe would be okay def not sheer/nude but an opaque color. slingbacks def no and wedges def no.


show off your toe-nails! but I also believe everyone should wear whatever you are most comfortable in.

I cannot believe the rest of the world worries about opentoed footwear and stockings - I'm sure I see it in UK every time the weather is fit to wear nice shoes.

Open-toed heels are a trend now, but personally I do not like open-toed heels. The following is a cover photo of a book from amazon.com, which impressed me.



I think they can sometimes look sexy, but I will never try it.
