I am a Montreal girl, I was told that some would absorbed in 3 weeks and others would be 6-8 weeks. I bet the one you see are the longer lasting type. This area is one of the longest to get healed up in a lot of girls.

I think my final ones were absorbed or fell out around 6 weeks. You might even see a loose end hanging. They should take care of themselves.

Hi Sis -- I'm another Bower's Babe at 10 months +.  The sutures you are talking about took about 5 weeks or a little more for me to no longer notice them, and one left before the other did. I had one pesky one that was a little below my clitoris that was across the area just above my vaginal opening that cut loose from one end, and hung around like a bad whisker for several days, but eventurally fell out at 6 weeks.  We all get it just a bit different.  Don't be afraid to call Robin in Trinidad or the San Mateo office if you have questions about what is going on.  I had lost a couple of sutures even before they took the packing out, but that was fine, since I guess one was left over from the drain.  You may even find suture material on your panty liners that look ugly, but are harmless.

Wiser now about Post Op reality!!
