I was looking forward to making some dinner but it didn't work out and now it's 5AM and I'm too depressed to even think about it  :P  Think I'll just go to bed and hope I don't wake up

A thread I read yesterday. I was seriously thinking about erasing all online accounts. My gaming ones, fb, possibly even here. Decided I need my friends here, will likely still end the rest.

How come? Why all your online accounts?

Dysphoria has hit again. It seems showers are the cause, or at least a trigger. I have no desire to leave my room today. But I don't have much of a choice. *sigh* 80 minutes to dress, do makeup, breakfast, and get to class. I'm getting really effing tired of this.

Just hang in there.
Keep your chin up!
You should probably shower at night so you dont start off your day with dysphoria.

Showers are bad enough. I can't imagine trying to shower in a dorm, a men's shower for you has got to be bad.

I tried showering on monday night, didn't work like I wanted it to; I was up all night with dysphoria and then fell asleep as I was trying to get out of bed to get ready for breakfast and then class. And ended up sleeping 12 hours. Neither is really working right now.

Fortunately it's nothing like a gym shower, they're in stalls, but it's still really annoying to have to change back into not being myself; wearing clothes that aren't me, having to walk and talk in a different manner, and worst of all, shaving. I'm also now out of decent shaving cream, and don't have time until Friday to buy more. Meaning I'll have to use the men's foam I have which does not work well on legs, arms, or in the shower.

Wow. Im sorry.
This is a dilema...
What about showering right after classes then doing something you like?
You could go ask for shaving cream at the girls dorms if youre not too embarrassed i guess.

That means reapplying makeup (which costs quite a bit) and also assumes that I have about an hour free after class, which I don't always do.

That assumes that someone would actually want to lend shaving cream. Kinda a weird thing to lend away.

I didn't even know there was such a thing as women's shaving cream. Shows how good a girl I was.

Is there time you can shower in the dark? That always helps me.

It's glyceryl based and is better for sensitive skin.
WHat do you mean, "girl I was?" I think you mean female impersonator.

Probably at like 4am.

My dads general bigotry combined with my medication having a bad effect on me has really been screwing with me lately. It's so frustrating, especially since I was starting to think I could finally come out to him, and now it looks like that has been set back yet again.

Why do people call customer and technical support if they don't have the time or inclination to go through any basic troubleshooting steps?

I like to use Skintimate for my face. It's very sensitive and the razor just glides over it. They smell so good too.

Probably costs more than the $1.59 Meijer brand cream, which is actually pretty good. Don't cut myself nearly as much as I do with the Nivea foam.

Parents forcing me into therapy.....

Therapist is NOT qualified to deal with gender disphoria, not to mention they'll be drug testing. (Smoked a bit after coming out.....) So I'm not thrilled about that at all.
Seems like a giant waste of time and money, it's all coming out of my pocket to get a therapist who isn't even qualified to work with me.

My Mother was actually trying to coach me... telling me not to mention anything gender related. She just wants me to get on antidepressants.

So what she's saying is that she's in diametric opposition to the direction that you have chosen for your life and would rather have you develop a dependency on psychotropic drugs and become easier to manipulate. Good luck with that Sarah Rose, you'll have to get your back up and just say no!

I meant it sarcastically, it comes off better spoken I guess.
