bilateral orchiectomy cost / medical loans / financing / Connecticut?

I am 21 and i just started HRT in October. I want to have a bilateral orchiectomy as soon as I can, preferably this year (2014).

I want it because I want to take hormones for the rest of my life, and this seems to be the healthiest way to go about it. I wouldn't have to worry about Anti-Androgens, I would be able to be on a low dose of E, Male Pattern Baldness wouldn't be as much of a fear, and I wouldn't have to worry about de transitioning or loosing my results if I ever, God forbid, had to stop HRT.

Does anyone know what the exact cost is? I have seen $3000 but that is for local anesthesia and I HAVE to have general anesthesia. I have EXTREME anxiety problems and i would probably have panic attacks during the procedure and every day waiting for it knowing i would be fully awake during it.

I also would like to know if there are medical loans that would fund it or if doctors have a payment plan that could be worked out? I live in Connecticut so anyone near me or here would be great!

The cost depends on where because the usual surgeon names charge 2-3k while a local urologist might charge less or more. Having general anesthesia is going to increase the costs A LOT (1500 estimate) because of everything that goes with it (especially the facility that it takes place in and certifications).

Yeah I know ugh it's just so scary thinking about being awake for that. What other meds could I be prescribed that I can take during the procedure that might have the same type of effect as GA?

IV sedation can be done but it also requires a properly equipped facility because of the nature of the therapy delivery itself (it's not exactly something the average clinic does unless they do office surgery regularly).

yeah i remember way back in the day they had doctors that would do it for 1k to 1200
