Should I tell him?

Joe.

I've fallen hard for a male friend of mine. He knows that I am trans and accepts me 100%. We've been friends for a while and have always got on really well. He uses the right pronouns and name and is amazing about it. He is everything you could want in a person. My parents like him, he's really attractive and has a great personality. Do I tell him I like him and risk losing everything I have with him? He is gay so I don't think it will freak him out, but I don't want to ruin our friendship.

It depends, has he given you any hints or signals that he likes you? Would you wonder about what would have happened later in life if you don't ask? Are you both mature enough to still be friends if he turns you down?

I don't know about signals. I'm rubbish at reading them and don't believe that anyone likes me in that way so I don't think he has. I think I would wonder about later on in life but I know we'll still be friends, even if I don't tell him. I think we're both mature enough. He tells me I'm mature for my age and I think he's mature generally. I like to think we're both quite mature.

Then tell him when you feel ready. :)

We don't want to be wondering about things while we're old and locked up in the nursing home now do we?

OK, they didn't start locking me in the nursing home until The Great Firehouse Evacuation of 2011. And I was a victim of circumstance, I tell ya!
