Sorry if this has been brought up before. I started taking a multivitamin that had 100mcg of zinc and after about 2 weeks I began to feel not very good. My facial and body hair suddenly began growing at pre hrt rate. I've only had to shave my face once every 3 1/2 days since month 6 of hrt; Suddenly it was coming in the day of shaving! :( Yuck! Not only that, but my sense of femininity vanished. I started to get all those old dysphoria type feelings. The skin on my face started to look very bumpy and "rough" compared to how nice it was before the multivitamins. About 3 days ago, I had a very intense panic attack with dysphoria. I don't want to get into the details but it WAS NOT COOL.

Anyway, I started thinking about the multivitamin and looked on the ingredients. I then remembered reading somewhere that zinc can boost testosterone. I threw out the remaining pills and 3 days later, I'm completely feeling better again. My face and skin look like they did before, I feel peaceful and feminine again, and the facial and body hair have slowed down again.

Coincidence? I don't know, but I thought I would share this experience because many many people take multivitamins. I think the 2 weeks of zinc somehow brought my testosterone "back to life"

I just did a quick google search of "zinc and testosterone" and sure enough, it looks like a well established fact. Zinc does boost testosterone.

I got put on Zinc when I hurt my arm last week, if this is true it's a bummer.

ZMA or ZMC (Zinc Magnesium and ?) pills are marketed as natural testosterone boosters. Admittedly they may have significantly larger doses of Zinc in them.

Totally possible. I know that in circles of FTM  folks who are going the supplements-rather-than-T injections route, a zinc/magnesium supplement is highly recommended.
