"Transgender People Aren't As Valuable As 'Higher End' People, Argues Attorney"
I never heard the Attorney attributed as saying "Transgender" people Aren't As Valuable As 'Higher End' People. Instead he referred to the "class" of the victim, which I interpreted as referring to the woman as a prostitute, NOT as a transsexual.
Though I still disagree with the attorney's ridiculous logic, I think it's worth pointing out that his words were probably misinterpreted by the journalists (or even spun). That said an attorney, of all people, should know better than to choose words open to interpretation.
I think probably the only real "anti-trans crime" commited here was by the suspect, not the attorney, but even then it would be hard to prove a hate crime without a confession.
