WOW!!!!

He needs to check out some of the upper eschleon in the finance, medical, law, IT, engineering etc. fraternities and offer apologies to those he has wilfully offended.

Jealousy is a curse, isn't it !!!!

If you're in Australia and are subject to Domestic Violence or Violence against Women, call 1800-RESPECT (1800-737-7328) for assistance.

Worst... attorney... ever!!!

Yeah, I get it.  You're supposed to get your client off the hook at any cost, and convince the judge to give the lightest sentence possible.

Seriously, if he can't do better than come up with malarkey like that, I'd suggest he's definitely in the lower class of lawyers and he's probably not worth as much to society as the rest of them!  In which case he'd best beware his own argument  :D

There's a mistake at 2;40, the attorney is shown as the source of the judges statement.

OOF!  That attorney actually made matters worse for his client, despite the client's own behaviour.

"Transgender People Aren't As Valuable As 'Higher End' People, Argues Attorney"

I never heard the Attorney attributed as saying "Transgender" people Aren't As Valuable As 'Higher End' People. Instead he referred to the "class" of the victim, which I interpreted as referring to the woman as a prostitute, NOT as a transsexual.

Though I still disagree with the attorney's ridiculous logic, I think it's worth pointing out that his words were probably misinterpreted by the journalists (or even spun). That said an attorney, of all people, should know better than to choose words open to interpretation.

I think probably the only real "anti-trans crime" commited here was by the suspect, not the attorney, but even then it would be hard to prove a hate crime without a confession.

*le facepalm* I'm pretty sure you can be both "higher end" and trans.  I'm also sure you can be trans and WAY "higher end" than that d-bag.

Doctorwho?

They aren't mutually exclusive... This moron has obviously only encountered those from the trans community who have been less fortunate.
