I know this is a bit weird, but the past two nights I've experienced what I think are hot flashes.  It's mainly a slight feeling of heat and blushed cheeks.  Since I've been on hormones, my cheeks have become fuller and more blushed, but tonight they are a little flushed.  While I'm still feeling a little hot (I have a fan on me), the flushing is reducing.  I'm not overly concerned because it reduced last night as well and I felt fine during the day. The thing is my hormones haven't changed at all in the past month and I've been on everything for a few months.  Right now I think it's probably a slight hormonal reaction.  Nothing else is wrong and I feel fine other than a little hot.  There are no other side effects other than I have noticed some more chest development, lol.  Does this sound weird or uncommon?  Anyone else experience this?  I'm just making sure that all is okay and wonder if it is hormonal.  Thanks.

I've been a bit unusually warm today. And a couple days ago I was really warm for half the day, rather horny, and at one point had some moderate testicular discomfort that went up into my abdomen. I just attributed it to some kinda hormonal surge or something. *shrugs*

I can get this too on occasion... It usually occurs in bed at night when my E levels would be at a low point just before the next pills kick in... I get all red, hot and sweaty for a short time. Certainly fits the definition of a hot flush. After a short time it's gone and I'm back to sleep. Never had these in the day or morning. I have another girlfriend who gets these on occasion and blames her hormones too.

I've had instances where I get really hot and then really cold.  But the other night as I arrived home from work, I got really really hot.  I looked in the mirror and my cheeks were a bright rosey color.  For a second I got scared, but I relaxed took my bath and settled down.  The next night I took my injection and since have felt ok.  A little tired because I'm coming off of the flu.

Only happened the one day I almost forgot to take my E.  How's that for a reminder?

Thanks everyone.  I'm glad this is normal.

It's funny you mention at night with low e levels because I recently took an estradiol pill and have been feeling a little better since.  I usually take it 3 times a day (morning, afternoon, and evening) but I never really experience this to the degree that these last flashes have been.  Interesting.

I only take my meds twice a day... Some E in the morning, some at night just before bed with my AA & other stuff. And I know it takes a minimum of 2 hours for it to start working :)

I've had it happen a couple of times when I drink alcohol. I get hot and my face and ears get very red.

Might be just because you're a girl :).  Most of my cis girlfriends get that reaction from time to time :).

Yea, you've got hot flashes.  Don't worry I had them a couple months into HRT and it freaked me out for a day or so.  But they went away and I don't even notice them now.  But my wife tells me when my heat sensors go off balance.

Yep, anytime I miss a dose or if I am too far off of my regular schedule of taking it I get a hot flash. It is a reminder.

I get an occasional hot flash and the cheek color and flushing thing too.  With the dynamic process of transition it seems we can have a nice wide range of normal responses that are fortunately still 100% better than where we were?  How about crying?  I am now only too familiar with this hot flush in my face that is a precursor to tears.  That has only happened once in public thank goodness.

I'm on the patches and still sense some degree of flux but that could just be my basic weirdness anyway.  I have heard from some sisters that a hot bath or a soak in the hot tub can release more hormone from the patches but really IDK.

If I'm off for more than two days, I get that way now that I think about it.

So, the flushing got pretty bad last night that it apparently caused a small cut on my cheek.  It's not bad. It's pretty small.  Still, i feel a little weirded out.  On the plus side, my skin is back to normal and I don't feel anymore heat.

I'd welcome some hot flashes. It's real cold where I am.  They come & go sometimes, you will/should be OK.

I have gotten them in the morning, around 10am-12pm or so. I take my meds @ 8am and 8pm, maybe that's why?

And when it happens I get sweaty, feels like its a hot 100 degree day even when it's freezing cold out and I get quite flushed. It's awful lol

I get flashes for about an hour after getting up.
My sister is fifty nine, and thinks it's hilarious. I'm getting hot flashes, and she's growing a tiny mustache. We're more alike all the time.
