so i met with the plant level hr manager today and explained what i am going through, I gave her the information for the corp level folks that i have been working with for past 8 months. That went fairly well for a coming out thingy. I now have my federal identity changed to reflect my real name and need to have my pay and taxes be put to the right person, they would not change my gender marker until i have surgery which is fine for me at this moment. I also now have confirmation from my insurance that i have coverage for my ffs and have a confirmed date of February 13 at Dr. Spiegels in Boston. I am currently trying to explain details to my wife who is accepting atm not supportive but at least i am still living in my house. and she has is not being to harsh yet, we are beyond the shock and moving through the anger stage now so I will see how that plays out. may be one of the best days of my life to date depending on the outcome at home. at the very least i am so excited about my ffs and my go full time date is March 1 and i have support locally and at a corp level to stay where i am but i am not ruleing out re positioning if things get weird, since i do have direct influence with the crew i supervise it could go good or bad or both with 15 people i am betting both, time will tell on that front. we have set up weekly mtgs to address notification to peeps as we move forward. i am a native Alaskan but would appreciate prayer from any and all as i am commiting to full time march 1 and let the chips fall where they may..
