at the risk of gting in trubl do mtf & ftm partners handle it differently

I don't mean to cause trouble I was just wondering if a male or female handles the gender change of their partner differently . LIke  the husband of a wife who goes ftm or the wife of husband going mtf.

I'm not sure, but I would try asking in the transsexual forum.  Most trans guys avoid posting in the threads here even though they are welcome to do so.  That way you will get feedback from both genders. 🙂
