I'm kind of in a dilemma . In a perfect world I could see getting rid of all hair. so much more convenient  . I'm just curious about the practicality of just relying on make up and a sharp razor and possibly the extreme slow process of tweezers.

Depends on your face/skin and how fast your hair grows.

I can't get a close shave without hurting myself. *Shrug* And even if I do, within the day some of it is back.

I did laser about 4 years ago, it got what bit of shadow I had, but I still have a lot of whites and grays, so I do still shave everyday right after a hot shower. I shave very close, but my face tolerates it well and I don't have an issue with it during the day. I work with the public, so I do try to look my best within reason.  I don't touch up my makeup during the day either, don't even carry any in my purse anymore.

Laser and electrolysis are the way to go, but there are women who suffer from hirsutism.  But this could help.

She is long winded but bear with it.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me

possible? yes but it entirely depends on how fast the hair grows. I haven't had any electro or laser and survive with just the blade and make-up, however shaving every day is a pita and if I had funds I would go electro what little I have which is why I get away with just razor and make-up.

I've never had electrolysis or laser, nor do I intend to, and I do fine....with plucking and epilating I have my facial hair almost completely gone

I expect it's not bad at all if one's facial hair isn't dark. You cannot get around the rapid emergence of stubble if not on HT though. (HT does slow down facial hair growth a bit, enough to make 8 hours between shaves instead of the three or four hours I had pre HT.) Three shaves a day on HT combined with light hair should get one by.

If one has the typical thick and dark hairs, there is no hiding it without extensive makeup coverage. Repeat more frequently if not on HT.
