I was talking with my cousin, who is against me going full time, and she tells me that she can easily spot a transsexual because of their braod shoulders. So I was looking on the Internet, and too my surprise, women have broad shoulders as well. It usually happens when their waists get so thin and their shoulders get so wide {'cos you can't change bone structure.} Here's a measuremnet: 36-25-36 shoulders are 40" all around and 6.5" from the base of the neck. Now this person feels that she has broad shoulders.

I'd also be the first to voice the opposite; men have narrow shoulders as well. You're looking at one transwoman here who needs a small tshirt for the shoulders, but a large or XL for the length. I'm also nearly a foot taller than my sister, and she has brader shoulders than I do.
It goes both ways, hon. Plenty of ciswomen have broad shoulders and plenty of cismen have narrow shoulders.

Then again, some men don't have the muscle mass. I sure don't. And some women, like all of those in my generation in my family, do. Mostly because they do things that are very intense on the upper body (swim, colour guard, powerlift, and so on.)

A big part of why male shoulders appear to be wider is muscle mass. With HRT the muscle mass will decrease and therefore the width of your shoulders.
HRT on and off since January 20, 2014
Diagnosed with GD: March 2018

Thanks Willow for pointing that out. I'm pretty much built like a box, and I haven't really noticed that I have broad shoulders. I wear a large in blouses or shirts.

Now I don't work out FlasePrincess, so I don't have that extra body mass up around my shoulders, which I should be gratefull for, but thanks for bringing that to my attention. These are definently some things I can talk about wih my cousin. And thanks 930310 for reminding me that HRT will reduce the muscle mass. I'll be checking with my doctor if I can start on a low dosage, because of my liver and kidney problems.
