GOAL: (75kg/165lbs)

December 31st 107kg (235lbs)
January 10th 102kg (224lbs)
January 18th 99kg (218lbs)
January 25th 98kg (216lbs)

February 7th  97.5 (214.9lbs)
February 13th  97kg (212lbs)
February 22nd  97kg (212lbs)

No change but I have been riding everyday for 20km average now. I wonder if this is doing it or if I have hit a bad point just currently and it will drop next week. Oh well I will keep going :D

A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting

Me too. I spend 95% of my time not working, in my house, alone.

I was a little depressed this morning with only a 2 lb. loss this week. :o  Looks like just about everyone had a problem too much candy from the heart box?

Yup, my refrigerator door is making impossible for me to lose those 5 lb's I want to, lol! Too many reese cups, kit kat's, hershey's kisses/bars w/almonds, nestlie white and dark chocolate bars, etc., etc., etc. I hear it call me constantly. And two days ago I got some reese's pieces, m-n-m's, and one of my favorites, those mini reese cups -yum.

For me it was too much eating out, where you can't control the portions and there are more temptations. I wish there's a way to go out with people and bring my own food...

Actually there are a few places you can go out to eat and stay within your calorie regimen. Quizzno's and Subway's are my friend. Even now at Long John Silvers they have a Salmon fillet with trimmings under 300 calories. Arbys is another as long as you stay with their regular roast beef sandwiches. Of course, if it's McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's or Taco Bell or a similar place your lost. I'm a small boned thin girl too and even a 3-4 lb. gain shows and make's me feel fat. So I've gotten the eating out thing down to a science even at more classier places like Olive Garden, Red Lobster's, etc.

However I know what you mean, and you can't always choose where your friends want to eat, lol! ;)

Exactly, and I used to dance 12-15 hours a week so never had to worry about how much I ate. So now I refuse to be the girl who orders a salad and water when I'm out, but maybe I have to be that girl. :(

In situations like that I'm not afraid to ask for a doggie bag to carry home leftovers. At my age extra pounds are extreemly hard to lose. ;)

Arcee

5'11", goal weight 160 lbs

1/24 - 174 lbs
1/31 - 173 lbs
2/07 - 175 lbs
2/14 - 173 lbs
2/21 - 175 lbs

Yep, definitely oscillating. :( It doesn't help that I didn't get out and exercise a single day this past week. (big work deadlines will do that). Here's hoping next week is better!
Trying to figure myself out, one day at a time, and hoping it's true that 40 is the new 20. ;)

Hi,

Can I join in?

New years day 2014 246lb ( yes I know!), today 222lb,
Target weight is around 175lb to start with which at 6 ft 2 in is ok to begin, my aim is to reach target inside 1 year
  •

Arcee

Wow, Paula, 24 pounds in 2 months! That's pretty impressive weight loss, just be careful not to jeopardize your health by going too fast. ;)

I would echo Arcee's congratulations & concern.

I did lose 20.4 lbs in 54 days early last year (202.6 on 20/Jan to 182.2 on 15/Mar), but then bounced a bit & it was another 16 days before my weight first dropped below 182.2.  Don't be too surprised if you experience something similar.

Great work in losing what you have so far.  Don't be discouraged if progress slows down a lot.  If you manage a drop of 1lb/week (which is about average), then you'll get to your goal by early next year.  That's pretty good, btw.

Welcome to the thread.  Keep posting, no matter what the results.  We want to feel happy for you when your weight drops a bit, & give support when it doesn't. (Just like we do for everyone else :) )

Be well,

Tessa

Let's be honest I had/ have it to lose. I am working on 2 lb a week now for next few weeks then down to about 1lb to 1.5 lb a week. It has slowed somewhat in last 2 week's. Basically I have done 3 things:

1. No/ low carbs

2. Taken up jogging

3. Stopped drinking alcohol
