It is in pounds thankfully! I did have an absurdly productive February. Just hoping to make a few more big strides to get out of the obese range, maybe not at the pace February was as I was able to lose weight simply from changing horrible life long eating habits. January was good too, for the same reason.

My eating habits are much improved still, however, I have had a few blips of carelessness since the rib. Nothing too crazy, but that is why I am kind of being blah about my "what have I done lately" weight loss. Though I am pretty pumped for putting in a really solid week this week as I am returning to some lifting and more intense cardio now that the rib is nearly a none issue and my hip flexor is only burning if I move it in just the right way too quickly. Thus the reason I am pulling for a five pound loss as this week's goal.

I do appreciate the positive vib you've given me, it's gonna help me push even more for that five pound goal!!  :) Thanks

Well it's Thursday and I'm posting early because I'm making my last entry here.  As I simply explained in another tread that I'm leaving for my own peace of mind, and that whatever I'm doing and wherever it takes me I'll be doing it as Lady Katherine.

So I lost 4 pound this week due to heavy and hard labor working in the yard.  Building a little more of the concrete block wall.  And for an old lady that's hard work.

Well this is beyond disappointing to hear Kathy. I did not see your going away thread though I did try to look, maybe it was further back. If so I hope it keeps going further back with you staying, or maybe just taking a break from the site, or cutting back. I know I don't get to visit much lately being as busy as I am, but your weight loss thread is a Friday tradition for me (even if I post a day or two late hehe) no matter how busy I am. It is inspiring to read everyone's progress and it is my number one obstacle, and it keeps me honest through the tougher times like the stress of the new job and a broken rib slowing me down for a bit.

I never say never, so  :icon_ihearu: HEARS (oops heres) hoping you'll be posting weight loss success sooner rather than later!

:icon_bunch: Be good Lovely Lady Katherine!

Sorry to hear your leaving Lady Kathrene. Your Friday Weight thread has become as Toni said,  a tradition to many of us girls here. Wherever you go and whatever you do please be safe and take care.

I've read many of your posts and I will miss you on here as well.

Just missed the 5 pounds I was inspired to aim for, but I am happy with that for this week as I was able to string 3 consecutive weeks of weight loss together again, and about a ten pound loss in the last 30 days is decent. Now next week I am keeping things modest and hoping to loose just a couple of pounds as Easter feast could put a dent in the effort. I will try not to go over board, but I will partake in a larger than normal meal. Not like I did in the past, but larger as there will be much to enjoy (I do still enjoy food, I just don't loose control much anymore, just twice in the last four months. I have had a few larger meals, but only the two losses of control. The protein bar massacre, and the peanut butter toast fiasco! ;D)

360+  at my highest weight when I found out I was type II. Went to 340 from ketosis, then with off and on half-hearted efforts over ~6 years to get to 305 on 1/21/2014. That is when I came out to myself and started to care about living again and things became absurdly easier. My daughter attributes it to living honestly, which makes life easier in the ways that matter most.

Let's see how many weeks it takes for me to forget to do this. :)

Height: 6' 3"
Goal: BMI < 25 (the "normal")

4/18/14: 253 lb, BMI =31.6

According to the CDC, I'm technically obese though I certainly don't look it.  Just a jelly roll.     I've been doing smaller food portions and treadmill loving, which has helped a LOT since I was in the 275's a few months ago.

(Rolling averages are a better indicator of progress than single data points.)

Couldn't weigh myself from Mon-Fri, so I had to interpolate those weights.  Given what I weighted this morning, it appears that travelling is not affecting my weight too much one way or another.

Keeping my room-mate from seeing my torso was simpler than I expected.  In fact, the only reason I noticed I didn't see his torso at all was because I was so conscious of my own efforts.

So far, so good.  Although, my bust measurement has increased by a full inch this past month.  This makes me wonder how much longer before I start to experience "male-fail".  I am so not prepared to have to face that just yet.

Friday, returned home from a 4day trip, feeling sad (the other thread)..  Unpacked, stripped..

5' 10" 158lbs. Added almost 6lbs in 4days. =(

Only saving grace, was after I awoke this morning, and .. um.. a trip down the hall, I only gained 3lbs..  maybe another cup of coffee, and a bottle of water..  End of the day, 154, I can live with that.

I may have missed someone's reply, but is there anyone who is trying to get their weight up? Websites give me a bmi of 19.8 at 146 lbs; 6 ;bs higher than a few months ago. But it's rare for me to see others trying to move away from being underweight. I'm sorry if this offends anyone here.

4-20 268 lbs  down from 300 the first of the year.  Good progress but a lot more to go.

Hi Avery.  Welcome   :)

I don't think you missed any posts.  None of us who have been posting thus far are trying to gain weight.

I, for one, would very much appreciate you joining us.  It will be a most helpful reminder that striving for balance is a better goal than aiming for either extreme.

Thank you for your post.  I hope to see you here again   :)

I must agree with Tessa, so welcome to the thread of "Friday Weight" and if I can pull off the miracle I am striving for (and praying for) I will eventually get to a point where I want to gain weight back. Carefully of course, as I begin hormones and attempt to aide my body to gain the curves I feel I am missing. It is based on hope less than science, and numerous things I have read, weighed, and balanced. I have real doubt I will have a struggle ever gaining, but certainly understand the need to root for those needing to gain like I currently need to lose. SO post away joining this party of metrics.  :P
