Height:  5'11" (1.81m)    -    Target Weight:  Belly not protruding over belt, which I thought would be at:  165-170lbs  (75.0-77.3kg)
I notice this morning that my belly is still protruding a little even though my weight dropped to just under 163lbs (74kg).  I suspect that losing weight alone is not going to help that.  Note2Self:  Ask physio for exercises that will help firm up my belly when I go to him to rebuild my core muscles after surgery.  This probably will not be for another month or so.  It will take a while for my abdomen to heal enough to allow me go to physio.

(Rolling averages are a better indicator of progress than single data points.)

My appetite has not yet fully returned after surgery.  165.8lbs (75.4kg) was my highest weight this past week, the lowest being today's measurement.  I expect my appetite to return once I stop the pain meds (down to 1/day now).

Nearing the end of my second week at home recovering from my hernia surgery, and a little stir-crazy.  Actually looking forward to returning to work on Monday night.

It was a good weight loss week for Katie! It's been 5 years since I've weighed less than 190lbs. I crossed below on Saturday and kept going all week. Feels great!

I think I deserve something pretty to celebrate. :)

Stopped in to see how everyone's doing.  And wow Toni and Katie, you're unbelievable.  Especially Toni.

I'm still stuck at 205 to 208, and can only wish for the focus you two have.  When I broke under 200 last fall it was such a major milestone for me.  Have to get back on track and get this body ready for the future.   :D

Glad to see you're all ok.  Take care girls.

Grats Katie !    :)

You're matching Toni by also losing almost 2lbs per week.

Yeah, it does feel great to reach a weight one has not seen on the scales for years.

Let us know what your reward was.  (Mine was a nice nightie, M, now that L is a bit loose on me   :) )

Thank you all very much! I appreciate the encouraging words, but now have to confess to a terrible weekend. My daughter came in town and we had lunch with her brother and my daughter-in-law, then dinner and drinks later with them and a bunch of others, and topped it off with a mini-party at my cousins before going to Guardians of the Galaxy where I ate all the popcorn the establishment had on-site. THEN tonight, I was the grand-baby-sitter and Despicable Me 2 was the movie de'jour and we snacked like rug rats. Only I am not a rug rat and do not bounce off walls burning it off. Needless to say I weighed in when I got home like an hour ago to SCARE MY SELF STRAIGHT!! Well eating straight that is. I will have to bust some serious butt cheeks to get back to 219.2 by Friday. Can you ride a stationary bike while sleeping???  :-\

I was so discouraged by the week prior to last's results staying the same I just quit weighing myself. I'll find out at my next Dr's appt whether I've lost anything or not. When I do, I'll come back. But until this weather breaks and I can get back outside doing things I doubt I'll be able to lose these last 10 lb's. And this heat and humidity usually doesn't break until the end of September around here so that's 2 months from now. Oh well, I'll still check in from time to time to see how you girls are doing. But for me, I seem to for now, be stuck where I'm at, so why just keep posting the same numbers?

Best of luck everyone!

Grateful that my weight has stayed down.  Hoping that will continue.

Toni, grats on containing any weight gain after all the snacking you did last weekend.

The rise of 0.9lbs (= 14.4oz) is a normal fluctuation.  Look at how my weight has been bobbling up & down.

As Alli said, we'll be seeing you lighter & happier soon enough.

Hi Jaz,

I am non-op & hoping to remain as such.  I do not know if any among those of us posting on this thread are post-op.

I was traveling this week and spent several days sitting in job interviews, driving around exploring Seattle, and generally eating poorly.  So maintaining my weight this week is definitely a win.  And as Tessa Marie would say, my rolling average still shows a net loss.

I have not measured my weight for a while, but I run every two days, on average.

I did not run for 5 days, accumulating a lot of glucose in my body, and could run relatively fast on August 16.
It will rain for the next 2 days, and I should rest.
