I refuse to live in fear! Come hell or high water I will not back down! I will live my life!
But you have no life.
Ha. Even that won't stop me.

I will protect even those I hate, so long as it is right.

LBM

Sorry, I am an engineer. In school we learned in SI and English system ( English is used mostly in practice). We were taught to use LBM for pounds mass so we would remember to us the gravitational constant if needed in an equation.

I am now about 67 kg (147 lbs). I used to be 65 kg (143 lbs), but now it is difficult to maintain it, as I am getting old. Anyway I run nearly everyday. The sun here is very strong in fall.

barbie~~

Your body is amazing! I envy you.
Thanks to years of depression and anxiety I've gained a crap ton of weight, and it's not fun. And because I never got treated for it I am basically a shell. No motivation. Nothing.

I wanna lose the weight so bad, but when it comes down to it I have nothing to push me out the door. Like my gas tank is empty or something.

I know what you mean Starla, as I was feeling that way about a month ago, though I was still squeakin' out a pound or so a week. I knew Labor day weekend was going to be a wild one due to out of town visitors and our State Fair. So I used that weekend to screw off, WENT overboard, but did kind of recharge my batteries. I have slowly been getting back into a rythem and think I may be starting up on a new push. Now I won't know for sure until a month or two from now, but I do feel like I am working up some new momentum. Even the setback of a couple of weeks in the long run seems like it may have been a helpful break that weekend. Plus coming off of it I have slowly ramped up, meaning that first week after it I did okay not stellar. Then a little better last week and nearly back to normal this week, but not pushing the calories as low as I had been towards when I started to feel my gas tank getting low.

Again, it is the long haul that matters, so a little break in the game to refuel could be the trick. And heck, I really screwed up royal that weekend, and learned lessons from it. That weekend I don't know if I will repeat, but the concept I will probably repeat again when I feel the gas tank down to fumes. The proof is not there yet, but I really do think it will come. If it pans out, I would think it is something to consider.

Nice work mzaomz!
Barbie setting the bar high with continued stellar success, with the best looking 2 KG weight gain in like EVER!
Cynthia, good to see you posting again, in an odd way it helps doesn't it?
Tessa the weight is holding good even with the trouble you are having. Still wishing you the swiftest recovery and clearing up of the pain. I know I still deal with core muscle issues from my broken rib in March, and your situation was far for invasive. Time is the key ingredient I think, unfortunately. But keep the steady boat rowing, you are doing great.
Keep plugging away gang, we can all meet our goals!

Uhm... I don't weigh myself that frequently, but I've got some record...

4   Aug '14 - 58KG (127lbs) - Started HRT
4   Sep '14 - 56KG (123lbs) - A month after..
20 Sep '14 - 55KG (121lbs) - Today

Should point out I don't do any exercise.. Otherwise I'd probably be quite a bit lighter, lol...  (I want to gain weight anyway.. So... :P)

Pic could be better... But it's as recent as it gets... This was on the 3rd of August... A day before HRT :)

Starla,

Outdoor exercise greatly reduces anxiety and depression. You may start with biking.

It is interesting that my transsexualism tends to be intensified after exercising....

Note:  Still have to be careful about what I eat after hernia surgery.  I do seem to be mostly recovering well, but this is still my main focus.

Initially, my target was the simple visual of not seeing my belly protrude over my belt.  Seeing myself look a little gaunt when my weight dropped closer to 160 than 165 has prompted me to reset my target minimum to 165lbs.  Right now, I am mostly concentrating on eating enough since my appetite has not really returned since surgery, and on making sure I do not consume anything that will bind me up.

(Rolling averages are a better indicator of progress than single data points.)

This has been a quiet week at work, and my body is enjoying the rest.  Still taking some painkillers unfortunately, but very few now thankfully.

My weight seems mostly stable, for which I am grateful.  There was a slight weight increase this week as I tried not taking anything to counteract the binding side-effect of Prometrium.  That was a painfully unsuccessful experiment, which I do not intend to repeat in a hurry.  There may be another weight gain today ... I found some Ferrero Rocher's I had hidden from the missus some time ago (ie: Easter).  The first tasted a little bit stale, so I naturally had to eat the whole dozen before they got any worse ...

Just got a call from one of my managers a few hours ago.  They are recommending that I be promoted to Team Lead for any future contracts, and, yes, they do know I am trans.  That was very welcome news to hear a few weeks before my contract is due to end.

Apparently my parents had been considering a trip to the US even before I had to go to the ER in July.  That kinda decided them, but they waited a while in case I might think they thought I was dying or something.  Whatever their reason for travelling, I will be very glad to welcome them at PHL in 20 days.   :D

My wife is scheduled to receive all her final papers back for correction the morning after my parents leave to go visit my brother.  I am hoping the college doesn't decide to return them to her a few days early.  Having to be rewriting all her final papers during the weekend my parents visit would darken the mood a bit for everyone.

Life is good.  I may even wander towards New Hope & have dinner with a few friends this evening ... the wife just gave me FPP (full planning permission) in return for me getting her a burger & some gummi bears now.  Life has been much worse, many times.

Be well,

Tessa

In terms of weight, yes, I think I am where I have wanted to be.  It's not perfect; there is still a slight belly; but I am comfortable where I am & I am at a healthy weight.  This mission is complete.  There may be another, but not just yet.

The conversation with my parents is still ongoing.  I am hopeful that they will be OK with how I am when they come to visit.  There is a part of me wondering if they are travelling to Philly so that I don't bring my C/D cups to Dublin ... I guess I will find out over time.

TY for the kind words!  Those are always nice to hear    :D

Well I just started seriously trying to lose weight, again, last week but...

Date             weigh in    Goal
09/12/2014    341.2        185
09/19/2014    337.4        185

I'm 6 ft even, 37, and have a fairly large frame.  185 is below what I weighed in high school and I'm guessing I'll have to go even lower eventually, but 185 is realistic for my age and height right now. I'm on the right track and quite happy as I'm tracking with Lose It's website and app and am aiming for at least 2 lbs a week, but if I can get more I'm ecstatic. I managed to get down to 309 2 years ago and then a fit of depression (I tend to binge eat to feel better) packed on 30 of the 78 pounds I'd initially lost.  Yeah I started this when I'd gotten up to 387 and was miserable.  Finally taking it seriously though and am working exercise into my routine including walking my dog as she needs it too. ;)

Yes. Tessa. A benefit of my transsexualism is that it has motivated me to maintain a good body shape by taking regular exercise and healthy food. I exercise for both health and beauty. And most women and some men respect me because I control my body.

More people will love and respect you, I am sure.
