Felt really good about my downward trend.  Even if it wasn't really consistent, it was a good sign that I was on track.  Then yesterday happened.  After eating a big breakfast and working outside in the rain and snow I thought I'd be fine.  But, I finished the evening with an unnecessarily big dinner, and about two pounds of fresh fruit.  Yesterday wasn't a small fail, but it was a GIANT FAIL that showed up first thing this AM after standing on the scale. 

Oh hell, sometimes I hate myself.  Can't even stay on a program for a month.   :eusa_wall:

Oh Kathy my dear, I so know your pain. My Easter baking disaster, turned into an Easter week (or was it weak) disaster. Lots of trouble with my mom, making for trouble in the brain, and when that happens I eat. Compound that with a quad injury that had derailed my resistance training and lots of travel for work making my walks too intermittent, and damn I have serious make up work to do (edit: oh snap, I missed this chance at a pun, or is it make-up work I need to do?  :P) The great news is I was not going to join a weight loss challenge at work, but a friend would not relent and got me signed up. Of course I started strong and continued my melt down, which ironically centers around ice cream (get it melt??)

I know you can recover, you show more history doing so. I really am showing a poor history of it, which was one of my transition concerns. I need to get back to allowing myself to express who I am. I have been avoiding all the things I was doing when I was happy. I have not been shaving, dressing, and certainly not applying any makeup which I find relaxing and rewarding. I need to turn it around with this post! I continue to look to you and all the other gals on this thread with glowing admiration and do know I find strength in all of your stories, both successes and set backs. Trust me, if I did not I would not keep posting here, and trying, trying, trying.

I love you all for trying too!

I expect that this will be enough to wake up from the winter.

My running on Sunday.

It took about 5 hours for 22 km (14 mile). By walking, it usually takes about 10 hours.




In the uphill course. The course is very stony, making it difficult to run.
