Hello all!

I'm new here and thought I would introduce myself.

I'm a 47 year old FTM living in Oregon. Started my medical transition in October. So far I'm loving the changes!

I've known most of my life that I felt like a man, it started at 5 years of age (OK boy back then is how I felt) and has never gone away. I've looked into transitioning several times through the years and between career and family (plus all the requirements to change legal documents) I just thought it would not work at the time. I had almost given up when someone posted an article about transgendered people basically bashing them for not embracing their femininity or trying to steal it when they didn't deserve it.  Really pissed me off, but it got me looking again (not to mention I gave a nasty comment back)! So seeing that time has changed many things and career is gone from a back injury, I finally made that leap with a very supportive partner.

I look forward to posting and getting to know everyone a little better.

The main things to remember in life are Love, Kindness, Understanding and Respect - Always make forward progress

Superficial fanny kissing friends are a dime a dozen, a TRUE FRIEND however is PRICELESS

Hi Shane, :icon_wave:

Welcome to our little family. Over 9055 members. That would be one heck of a family reunion.

Feel free to post your successes/failures, Hopes/dreams.  Ask questions and seek answers. Give and receive advice.

But remember we are family here, your family now. And it is always nice to have another brother.

It does not take courage or bravery to change your gender.  It takes fear of living one more day in the wrong one.~me
